Amrita College of Education
Amrita College of Education () is a recognized self-finance Teacher Education College established and maintained by Amritalaya Educational Charitable Trust, Tirupattur in 2006, recognized by the 'National Council for Teacher Education'.
It is one of the 661 Teachers Education colleges in Tamilnadu, offering B.Ed Degree course and affiliated to the 'Tamilnadu Teachers Education University' Chennai, Tamilnadu.
History
Amritalaya Educational Charitable Trust was founded in 2005 by a group of philanthropists from Tiruppattur town like Mr.Madhava Bharathi (Founder, and Director), Late.Mr.Raji Gounder (Co-founder and first President), Lion. Mr.A.Kushal Chand Jain, (Co-founder and Secretary) and Nine other co-founder members.
The college was affiliated to the Thiruvalluvar University until the year 2007; It is now affiliated to the Tamilnadu Teachers Education University established in 2008 by enacting an Act by the State Government of Tamil Nadu ( Act No.(33) of 2008 ).
