AMP Awards
Founded in 2009, The A.M.P. Awards (Association of Music and Promotion) is a music and enterprise competition involving the collaboration of pupils and staff at secondary schools across Yorkshire, business sponsors and mentors from the music industry. Originating in Harrogate, the competition has now spread to other areas of Yorkshire; namely Leeds, Bradford and York. In 2014, 36 schools will partake across the Yorkshire
In the lifetime of The AMP Awards various past winners in the band category, such as "Book of Job", "Summer City" and "Purple Mafia", have subsequently had success in the music industry, gaining the sponsorship of record labels that have further propelled their music careers.
