AMD Telecom is a privately owned mobile services company founded in 2000 with headquarters in Greece and offices worldwide. AMD Telecom uses it privately owned gateway and technical infrastructure in order to provide SMS services and mobile solutions for Mobile Operators (MNOs/MVNOs) and large companies worldwide. Short message service (SMS) is Delivered in more than 900 networks to more than 200 countries around the globe. AMD Telecom’s clientele includes more than 25,000 customers.

History

The company was founded as an SMS gateway provider enabling message sending through a website. During 2003 and 2004 AMD telecom expanded in UK, Spain and Italy by establishing branches and in Germany by transferring the data center. In 2008, AMD Telecom was accredited by GSM Association, as an SMS Hub provider and became the first and only company in Greece with the specific certification. AMD Telecom was also approved in 2010, to operate as a Mobile operator in Greece and Poland, having its own telephone numbering plan. 2011 was the year when the company signed a major contract with Turkmenistan and became the unique country’s SMS HUB. In the same year Turkmenistan’s Roaming Department was established. The next year, 2012, was the year when AMD Telecom acquired an additional Data Center in Germany in order to provide better service quality.

Technology

AMD Telecom developed unique products including SMS gateways with live monitoring and Anti spam filtering solutions for Mobile Operators. Integration with the systems is carried out via all the common protocols as API, SMPP and Web based solutions. Technical support includes 24/7 phone, chat and email support all year long.
