Allan Andrews (British politician)
Allan Robert Andrews (born 09 March 1983) is a Conservative Party politician in Coventry, England.
He is currently the party's official candidate for the Wyken ward of the city having been selected to replace a retiring Conservative Councillor, and previously stood for election in Binley and Willenhall ward against the incumbent local Labour Party leader John Mutton in 2006, leading an energetic campaign and attracting support from Francis Maude MP, Chairman of the Conservative Party. Cllr Mutton was nervously re-elected with a reduced majority. His first election was in 2004, at age 21, in the safe Labour seat of Longford ward in the city.
In his employment history Andrews has worked for the European Parliament as an assistant to Philip Bradbourn MEP.
Andrews is also a former Conservative Future Area Chairman for the Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull area and Branch Chairman for Coventry Conservative Future. He is a school governor in the city and is a Feoffee for the Bonds Hospital Estate Charity, founded in 1508.
