Ali Altun
Ali Altun (Alton) Swedish football (soccer) player born December 16th 1988. Ali plays on a number of position, either as an offensive left/right defender or as a creative midfielder. Ali has also played as a central defender and as a defensive midfielder. With a nice touch with both the left and the right foot Ali has become something of a free-kick/corner specialist in the teams he played in, sometimes called the new 'David Beckham'. Ali quickly made himself a name in international football with interest from teams like Hammarby IF, FC Nordsjaelland, Heart of Midlothian and Glaskow Rangers. At the age of 15 Ali was called up as a reserve to the Sweidsh U-17 national team.
Playing Career
Ali started playeing football at the age of 7 and quickly made himself a name within the sport, and quickly rose in the grades, playing with players. After signing with Gideosnbergs IF Ali played as a goalkeeper for two seasons. After training with Västerås team Västerås SK (VSK) he signed a one year deal with Swedish Champions (2001) Hammarby IF at the age of 16, playing on the team as a right midfielder/right defender. At age 17, he was signed over to Crystal Palace. Ali quickly made himself a name in the English Championship team.
International Career
The season 2007 Ali was called up by the Turkish national team, but refused to join the team stating that he would never play for Turkey.
