Alexander Haditaghi

Alex Haditaghi is a Canadian businessman, entrepreneur, and executive in the mortgage and technology industries. He is the founder, owner and chairman of Pacific Mortgage Company, which owns Mortgage Architects and Radius Financial. He is currently the CEO of MoPals.com, a publicly traded social media loyalty program.

Early life

Haditaghi was born in Iran and raised in Turkey until he moved to Canada with his mother, brother, and sister in 1988. He graduated from York University with degrees in biochemistry and business. Prior to working in the mortgage industry, Haditaghi created an information technology company called Infosoft.

Career

Haditaghi started Lending Tree Canada in 2001. In 2005, Lending Tree Canada became MortgageBrokers.com, Canada’s first publicly traded mortgage brokerage firm. From 2005 to 2008, MortgageBrokers.com experienced a revenue growth rate of 4,000 percent, earning it the top spot on the 2008 Profit Hot 50 ranking of Canada’s Emerging Growth Companies by Profit.

Haditaghi founded Pacific Mortgage Group, Inc. in 2005. In 2012, Pacific Mortgage Group was rated the second fastest-growing Canadian company in the Profit 200 rankings. The magazine reported that Pacific Mortgage Group experienced 24,000 percent revenue growth with revenues topping $55 million during the five-year period of 2005–2010. The Group helped Canadian homebuyers secure $6 billion in financing in 2010. Pacific Mortgage Group currently originates and loans $7.5 billion in mortgages annually to Canadian homeowners and administers $1.5 billion in assets.
