Alex Rigley

Alex Rigley (Born April 18, 1989 in Cheltenham) is an English football player who is currently without a club.

Rigley signed for Swindon as a youngster and flourished during the Wiltshire outfits 2006/07 F.A. Youth Cup campaign in which the non-academy side reached the Quarter-Final stages.

Despite injury, Rigely's performances were rewarded by Paul Sturrock who handed him a 6 month professional contract at the County Ground in the summer 2007.

In August, 2007 Rigley signed for Cirencester Town F.C. on a months loan in order to gain match practice.

Alex was sent back to Swindon by Cirencester Manager Adi Viveash for having a 'poor attitude'. Upon returning to Swindon Town Rigley was told his contract would not be renewed beyond his current deal which runs out at christmas and that he could leave immediately with the majority of his contract being paid to him.

Rigleys agent Barry Gold {Who also represents Paul Sturrock, Dave Byrne and Lloyd Macklin} has sorted a trial with Weymouth, Rigley trained with Weymouth for a week and played in a friendly game, Weymouth decided against signing him.
