Alex Kim (ice hockey)

Alex Kim (born 10 May 1979 in Fullerton, California) is an American professional ice hockey center. He grew playing ice hockey in the Southern California region. Since the age of 9, he played Tier 1 (AAA) Hockey. At age 16, the Des Monies Buccaneers of the United States Hockey League (USHL) scouted him to be a top-line center. From Des Monies, he was recruited by Miami University (Ohio) RedHawks as a “Blue Chip” freshman. After two years with the RedHawks, Alex returned to Des Monies for another season in the USHL, and then transferred to Colorado College the following season. Alex professional career consists of playing in the American Hockey League (AHL), East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), United Hockey League (UHL), West Coast Hockey League (WCHL), ELITE Ice Hockey League (EIHL), and the Asia League (AL). From 2010-12, Alex played two season for Anyang Halla. He has also previously played for rival High1. Alex's two year contract with Anyang Halla ended in 2012. For the 2012-2013, Alex signed with FBI VEU Feldkirch of the Austraian National Leauge mid-season.
