Alex Dunn (Triathlete)
Alex Dunn born Alex Viveanne Dunn on 12/09/1991 to Roxanne-Lee and Bobby-Joe Dunn. During his childhood years Alex suffered from Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, after years of surgery and physical therapy Alex recovered to full strength. During his school years Alex excelled as a young athlete, showing promise in endurance running and body building. Alex received his first award in 1998 for the under 7's Mr. Universe Pilbara and for the under 8's in 1999. When Alex graduated to high school in 2004 he showed a particular interest in swimming and riding as well as the running he already did. Naturaly he begun triathlon. Alex completed his first Half Iron Man at age 13 in 6:02:54 and his first full Iron Man in 2009 at 17 in a time of 4:24:39 (Alex's results were omitted from the leaderboards as he was not of proper age to compete as an official participant in either race). His early entrance into the Iron Man competition was made possible by the Make-a-Wish Foundation because of his Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome. Alex is currently being endorsed by the franchisee of the Karratha McDonald's, Mitre 10 and Port Of Call to compete in the next Full Iron Man Competition in 2010.
