Alcidion Corp. is an Australian company that provides health informatics software. Based in Adelaide, the company offers clinicians with technology products that provides clinical decision support. Alcidion received grant from Victorian government to develop health care informatics software products that can minimize clinical risks. Its flagship product Miya software received $2.60m of funding by Blue Sky Private Equity.

History

Alcidion was founded in 2000, to provide health care informatics to minimize clinical risks and provides quality and safety of patient care. The company received investment from the Victorian government grant fund for SME through the Health Market Validation Program to develop the healthcare solutions. It spent ten years in developing and testing a software that provides real time patient information to hospitals and clinics. FUJIFILM Medical Systems, partnered with Alcidion to develop an intelligent Cardiovascular Information System (iCVIS), to improve the efficiency of cardiovascular clinics for patient safety improvements, deliver forward workflow optimization on its Miya Platform. Fujifilm was the Recipient of the National iAward for intelligent Cardiovascular Information System (iCVIS).

Products

Alcidion has product suites for emergency medicine, inpatient services and outpatient departments.

Miya ED:- It escalates current Electronic Data Information Source that allows emergency rooms to find the most common risks and health issues.

Miya Clinic:- It is an outpatient software that aids clinicians by putting patient’s clinical information upfront and optimizes the complete outpatient processes.

Miya Patient Flow:- It is a healthcare monitoring system for the bed management system, clinical portal, journey boards, department metrics and other related activities to manage the patient flow.
