Al Ghardaqa

The Al Ghardaqa family (Arabic: آل غردقة و غردقة / English: The house of Ghardaqa) are an Arabian tribe. They are known as Al Uyuni of Bani Abdul Qays of Weill bin Rabia bin Adnan and belonging to Bani Juhav (جحاف). Who ruled the areas of Al Ahsa, Qatif and Bahrain in the east of the Arabian Peninsula between the fifth and seventh centuries AD (eleventh and thirteenth centuries). They are located mainly in, Al-Mubarraz, Al Ahsa, (Saudi Arabia) and Ar Rams in Ras al-Khaimah, (United Arab Emirates).

From them is Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Ghardaqa who was the commander of the Saudi army in Oman. Who was later killed in 1225 AH. But, the author of the book detailed in the History of the United Arab Emirates c 1 330 stated that he was killed the year 1228 AH. From them is the great poet Ali bin al Mugrab Al Uyuni who wrote AbOUT many things including the Uyunid dynasty.
