Ahmad Hakimputra

Ahmad Hakimputra(born 10 October 1990), commonly known as Putra is a Singaporean footballer who plays for Kaposvári Rákóczi FC. He is known after becoming the third footballer from Singapore to play in Europe after Fandi Ahmad and V. Sundramoorthy.

Club career

Putra career started after spending a year at the Genova International School of Soccer (GISS) in Vicenza, Italy. He was introduced to GISS director Morris Pagniello by Singapore legendary footballer Fandi Ahmad, who brought Putra to Italy in January 2011.

After joining the GISS academy for 12 months, Putra was given a trial at Kaposvari, one of the many European clubs affiliated with GISS. After a successful trial, he was offered a youth contract, which pays for his accommodation, food and travel expenses.

Putra, who made two substitute appearances for Kaposvari II 2011/2012 season, said that though he played as a striker during his youth, he's used "mainly on the wings" in Europe.

In August 2012, Putra signed a one-year professional contract.
