History

AGOLDE was founded in 1993 by denim industry executive Jérôme Dahan. The brand drew inspiration from heritage American denim, particularly vintage Levi’s and Wrangler jeans, combining traditional manufacturing aesthetics with modern styling.

The label paused operations in the early 2000s. It was revived in 2014 under the Citizens of Humanity Group, refocusing on sustainable materials, modern silhouettes, and progressive fit standards.

Following its relaunch, AGOLDE positioned itself as a contemporary premium brand emphasizing sustainability, including low-impact washing techniques and recycled and organic fibers.
