Aegis Limited, Inc. is a global corporation founded in the United States and is currently based in Mumbai, India. Over the last three decades, Aegis has increased its portfolio of products to target the wide range of business and customer interactions. As of 2004, the company primarily operated in business process outsourcing.

Aegis is wholly owned by the Essar Group, a USD 17 billion conglomerate.

The company also provides business solutions that comprise consulting and designing, implementation and integration, and support and maintenance services; audit and re-engineering for unified communication, network infrastructure, and information security practice; and procurement management and spend management solutions. In addition, Aegis Limited offers customized solutions for banking, financial services, insurance, energy and utilities, travel and hospitality, auto and manufacturing, telecommunications, publishing and media, technology, retail, and healthcare markets. Further, Aegis Limited provides AegisLISA, a social media engagement solution that provides the ability of listening, interacting, socializing, and aligning with the online community of a brand via a single solution platform. The company was incorporated in 1992 in the United States and is now based in Mumbai, India.

Aegis PeopleSupport

Aegis PeopleSupport, Inc. (doing business as Aegis) is a business process outsourcing subsidiary by Aegis Limited primarily based in the Philippines being operated under the banner of Aegis Services Philippines, Inc. division. Aegis PeopleSupport also has operations in the United States and Costa Rica.

In 2008, Aegis Limited acquired PeopleSupport, a US-based outsourcing services provider and employing a 7,000-strong workforce. The company assumed the name Aegis PeopleSupport upon completion of its merger with Aegis. Since then, the company has leveraged upon the global reach, financial strength, and reputation of Aegis as a world-leading outsourcing company, and expanded its operations to include over 12,000 employees across six centers in Metro Manila, Cebu, and Baguio.

In February 1, 2012, Aegis PeopleSupport acquires the identity of its parent company, Aegis Limited and is now simply known as Aegis.
