Curling History

Since forming the team in January, 2002, Norget has had a considerable amount of success including becoming the first team in history to win the Gold Medal for curling at the Manitoba Winter Games (2002) and go on to represent Manitoba at the Canada Winter Games (2003). Norget also became the youngest curler in history to represent Manitoba in two National Championships in the same year (2003 Canada Winter Games in Bathurst, New Brunswick; 2003 Optimist International Curling Championship in Abbotsford, B.C.). Norget made history in 2005 when he competed in the Manitoba Curling Association Bonspiel (world's largest - 512 teams), putting up a record of 16 - 1, and became the youngest curler in the 117 year history of the Bonspiel to win a Major Event. This qualified Norget for the Manitoba Men's Provinicial Playdowns, but he was deemed ineligible to participate due to being too young.
