Adam Fulton

Adam Christopher Fulton (May 2, 1982 - June 11, 2004) (aka Livecorpse) was a Flash animator for Newgrounds.com. From September 6th of 2003 to his death in 2004, Fulton submitted 100 flash animations to Newgrounds; a feat that very few of the website's users have achieved. He gained a very large following due to his dark sense of humor and lighthearted approach to death and [...].

Incident

On June 11, 2004, Adam Fulton committed [...] after a series of events leading to a three day search for his arrest. As described in Adam Fulton's [...] letters sent via e-mail, Fulton claims to have unintentionally stabbed his persistent neighbor who refused to leave his house while the two were intoxicated and under the influence of [...]. Fulton claimed in his letters that when he left the apartment complex Tucson police confronted him and Fulton fired upon them in, as he claimed a "blind stupor from the drugs and alcohol." One of the officers was wounded in the leg. Three days later, Fulton returned to his apartment where the events had taken place, and was soon surrounded by local police. During this time, Fulton wrote [...] letters and e-mailed them to his closest friends and family members, before shooting himself in the head.

Effect on Newgrounds community

In the months following Adam Fulton's death, the Newgrounds community mourned his loss. Many animations and songs were made in memory of the popular animator, and many of Newgrounds.com's forum users posted goodbye's and R.I.P.'s in their signatures. Authors will still occasionally pay tribute or dedicate their films to Adam Fulton and his legacy.

One user named Piconjo 1, a name that parodies the mascot of Newgrounds, "Pico", created a dark tribute to the animator which offended many. Piconjo acquired a following and his parodies continued on the internet. See Livecorpse Tribute 2. However, unknown to the people who were offended by the Piconjo flash, Fulton was one of the four people who actually created Piconjo.
