Every year ACE conducts over 200 escorted programmes with leading academics. Courses run in various lengths and cover a diverse range of subjects. ACE Study Tours is owned by the ACE Foundation, which forms links with visited countries by supporting local, educational projects and providing scholarships (including many in particular with Fauna and Flora International, University College London, Cambridge University and others). Tours cover art, archaeology, architecture, music, history, gastronomy, natural history and much more. The tours are designed to inform, educate and entertain, blending cultural sight-seeing, privileged visits and specialist explanatory talks. ACE has long standing links with Oxford, Cambridge and London universities and conducts operations in over 50 countries worldwide. The company was founded in 1958 by Philip Brooke Barnes. Its work has been pioneering in the field of cultural travel. The company is now based in Babraham, Cambridge.
