Nigerian Football Scout (born 1995)

Abu Ali Zyad (born 14 November 1995) is a Nigerian football scout, football administrator, and former professional footballer who played as a centre-back and defensive midfielder. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Arlee Sportif and serves as the Sporting Director of More Grace FC. He is known for his work in talent identification, player development, and international football partnerships.

Early Life

Abu Ali Zyad was born in Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria, and is a Nigerian citizen. He developed an interest in football at a young age and was involved with the Youth Soccer Federation of Nigeria (YUSFON) during his formative years, where he received early football development and exposure.

Playing Career

Abu Ali began his professional football career in 2011 and played primarily as a centre-back and defensive midfielder, he started playing professionally at Wikki Tourists FC in 2011, after a beautiful career at Wikki Tourists FC, Abu Ali left in 2013, joined Niger Tornadoes FC and later departed to join Abia Warriors FC in 2014, after two years of stay at Abia Warriors FC, Abu Ali retired from professional football following an injury that lasted till 2020. During his playing career, he was recognized for his defensive abilities, tactical awareness, leadership qualities, and versatility. After retirement from ACTIVE football Abu Ali transitioned into football scouting and administration.

Scouting and Football Administration

Abu Ali began his scouting career during the 2020–2021 season. In 2021, he founded Arlee Sportif, a football organization based in Kaduna, Nigeria, focused on talent identification, player development, scouting, and international football opportunities. Through Arlee Sportif, he has worked to create pathways for young footballers seeking opportunities in Nigeria and abroad.

Partnerships and Collaborations

Abu Ali Zyad has established professional relationships and partnerships with several football organizations, including, Wolves United Agency (Portugal), HMCL (United Kingdom) ORBIS Sports Management, He has also collaborated with football clubs, academies, scouts, and player representatives across Nigeria, Europe, and Asia, facilitating player development, trials, scouting programs, and professional opportunities.
