Abdul Razzak Abdul Wahed
Abdul Razak Abdul Wahed (Arabic: عبد الرزاق عبد الواحد born in Baghdad 1930). is one of the best poets that came through the history poetry.
Career
In 1952 he graduated from school of education (دار المعلميين) and worked as a teacher for a while, after he was the Associate Director of Academy of Art in Baghdad.
Later in 1970 he was transferred from ministry of education to ministry of culture and media to be a secretary editor of (Aklam اقلام) magazine, then became the chief editor of the same magazine.
He also was the head dean of both Folk Center and Institute of musician studies.
In 1980 he was the General Director of the National Library of Baghdad, and also Cultural Adviser of Ministry of culture and Media.
In adding to his position from 1970-1990 he also was :
- Director of Baghdad Culture Club.
- Councilor of AFAK ARABYA.
- Member of the Central Committee of publishing in the ministry of culture and media.
- Member of the National Committee of musicians.
- Founder of Authors Union.
Personal life
Abdul Razzek born in baghdad to Sabians parents, at the age of 3 he moved with his family to Maysan where he spent his childhood and early youth there moving between rivers and the beautiful nature that he love.
at the second grade of hight-school he moved back to baghdad continuing his study.
His work
He wrote his very poem in 1945 followed by his first poems combination in 1950. He wrote more than 42 poems combinations and 2 Poetic drama between them there are 10 combinations are his favorite which he wrote for children. He also wrote during the Iraqi-Irani war here are some of it :
وهؤلاء الذين استنفروا دمهم كأنما هم إلى اعراسهم نفروا
السابقون هبوب النار ما عصفت والراكضون إليها حيثُ تنفجرُ
الواقفون عماليقا تحيط بهم خيل المنايا ولا ورد ولا صدرُ
in 2003 after the war led by USA he wrote pathos poem to Iraq
لست ارثيك لا يجوز الرثاءُ كيف يرثى الجلال والكبرياءُ
لست ارثيك يا كبير المعالي هكذا وقفة المعالي تشاءُ
He also satirize from the new government that came after 2003 saying:
لـكـمْ سُـجـون ٌ، وَلـنــا أجــسَــاد ُ لـكــمْ سـِـيــاط ٌ، ولـنــا عِناد ُ لـكــمْ جــيــوش ٌ، وَلـنــا دِماء ٌ هــذي تـُـبَادُ، تِـلـكَ لا تـُـبَاد ُ
لـكمْ سِلاح ٌمــا بـهِ عتاد ٌ لــنــا أيادٍ كـلـهــا عتاد ُ
لكـمْ مِـن َالغـرْبِ عِـصـيّ ٌوَلـنـا ظــهــورُنـا قــشـَّــرَهـا الجلاّد ُ
لكم ْمِنَ الشَـرْق ِ(نـجَــادٌ) وَلـنـا بـصَـاقـُـنـا، عَـاشَ لكمْ (نـجَــادُ)
وَنِـفـطـنــا لـكـمْ، لـكـمْ آبَــارُه ُ وَكلـّكمْ مـِن حَــولِــهِ انـدَاد ُ
لأنـكـمْ أشرَف ُمَـنْ يَـحْـرسُــه ُ لــنــا، فـقـدْ تــوقــَّـفَ العَــدَّاد ُ!!
وعِـندكم ْ(سِــيَـادَة ٌ) مـتى وهـلْ دُمَــىً عـلى صَـانِـعِـهـا تـُـسَاد ُ
يـشــمّـكــمْ كــلــبٌ إذا دخـلـتـمـو خضرَاءَكـمْ.. يـا أيـهـا الصِـلاد ُ
وتـدخـلـونَ تـسـتـحـثـونَ الخطى خـيِّــرُكــمْ يــبــول ُأوْ يَكاد ُ
خـمـسُ سِـنـيـن ٍوالعِــرَاقُ كـلــه ُ قبْــرٌ وَكلّ ُأهلِهِ حِــدَاد ُ
خـمسُ سـنـيـن ٍدَجـلة ٌتـبـكي دماً وتــرتــدي سَــوادَهَــا بـغــدَاد ُ
بـغـدَاد ُألفُ لــيلـةٍ ولـيــلــةٍ وشـهـرَزادَات ُالهَـوَى اتقاد ُ
والآن َألــف ُظلـمـةٍ وظلـمــةٍ وكــلّ ُكـائِــن ٍبـهــا جَـمَـاد ُ
خـمسُ سـنين ٍ يَـافِـطـات ُمـوتِـنـا تــمــلــؤهـا الدموع ُوالسوَاد ُ
وابـن ُالزنى يقول ُ: أنجزنا وهلْ مِـن عَــجَــبٍ !! ولـلزنى أولاد
ذرّ ُالـرمادِ والـعــيــون ُرُمَّد ٌ مَـلّـتْ عـيـون ُالنــاس ِوالرماد ُ
وتـرفـعــونَ لـلـمــدَى يــاقــاتِـكــمْ والعــنــتــريـاتُ لــكمْ مِـدَاد ُ
وتـعــلـمـونَ أنــكــمْ جَــعــجَــعَــة ٌ لـيـسَ لـهَـا صَدَىً ولا أبــعَـاد ُ
خـمـسُ سـنـيـن ٍوالعـراقُ مثـلمـا بُـول ِالبـعــيــر ِلـلـوَرَا يُــعــاد ُ
تـطــبـيـرُكـمْ، بـنى لـنـا بـيـوتـنـا ولـطــمُـكـمْ، مـشـربُـنـا والزاد ُ
لـكـمْ فـضـائِــيَــاتـكـمْ، أم ّ ٌ لـهَــا عَـاهِـرَة ٌ، أبٌ لــهَــا قوَّاد ُ
عَــمَــائِــم ٌلـكمْ تــُـزاد ُكـلـمــا قبُـورُنــا في أرضــنِــا تــُـزاد ُ
وَعِـنــدكمْ أحْـزابُــكـمْ حيـنَ أتــتْ بلادَنــا... قــدْ فــُـتِــح َالمَزاد ُ
وَعِـنـدكـمْ مُـنـاضِلـونَ نــاضـلـوا حتى تـُــبَــاحَ الأرض ُوَالعِــبَـاد ُ
مـناضلون َ! إسْـتـهُـمْ قد خـتـمَتْ عـليـهِ (إطـلاعاتُ) و(المـوسَـادُ)
وَبَـرلـمَـان ٌعِـنـدَكـمْ مُطـأطِــئِـي ٌ مِـثـلَ الخِـرَافِ بـالعَــصَــا يُــقاد ُ
وَعِـنـدَكـمْ دســتــورُكـمْ وَقـَّـعـه ُ (بــول ٌ) ! فكيفَ تـنظـفُ المَـواد ُ*
وَعِـندَكـم (مَرَاجـِعٌ) دَامـوا لكـمْ أبـغــضُ مَــا لـدَيِّـهـمــو الجـِهَاد ُ
في (مَـشهَـدٍ) يُكـدِّسُـونَ مَـالهمْ وفـي العِـرَاق ِكلــهـمْ زُهَّــاد ُ
وَعِـنـدَكمْ مُحَـافِـظِـونَ، إنـهــمْ مــنــاجـِــل ٌودمــعُــنــا الحَــصَاد ُ
وَعِـنـدكـمْ معـمَّمـونَ كالحصى نـعدّهــمْ ومـا لـهــمْ تِـعدَاد ُ
هـمْ أولِـيَـاءُ أمرنِـا ! تـف ٍعلى أمــورنــا !!!! وَلِـيّـُـهَــا أوغــاد ُ
والوزراء ُعِـنـدكـمْ يخجـل ُمن فــسـادِهـمْ وَمـنـهـم ُالـفـسَــاد ُ
وعِـنـدَكـمْ جــرَائِــد ٌأحـبَــارُهـا دِمـاؤنـا والوَرَقُ الضَمـاد ُ
كُـتـَّـابُـهـا صِنـفـان ِقـد تقاسَـما الـقـيءَ بـهـا : الدِيْـدَان ُوَالجَـرَاد ُ
وَعِـنـدكـمْ (مواقِــعٌ) نفـتـحُـهـا يـخـنـقـنـا ضِــرَاطــهـا المُــعَـاد ُ
وعَـلـقـمـيـونَ لـكـمْ تــوارثو البــغــاءَ وَالـعُـهْـرَ وقـدْ أجَادوا
نعجَبُ لا، لا عَجَبٌ وقد مشـى عـلى خـطـى أجــدَادِهـمْ أحـفاد ُ
لكـمْ رُعَـاعٌ لاطِمـونَ، جـوقـة ٌ مـطـبِّـلـونَ، مُـلـِّكُــوا فـسَـادُوا
لكمْ (فـتـاوى) أطـلقتْ أنـيابَـكمْ بـلـحـمِـنـا... فـابــتــدَأ َالطِـرَاد ُ
لكمْ حـليـف ٌ، حُـلفـاء ٌ، حُـلـَّـفٌ أحــذيــة ٌ.. تـنـاقـصـوا أوْ زادوا كـلّ ُالذي مَــرَّ لكـمْ، أجَـلْ لكـمْ مــاذا لـنـا ؟ نحن ُلـنـا البــلاد ُ

Lot of his work was translated to many languages English, Finnish, French, and there were more than 4000 poetry verses translated to Slovenian.

- Medal of (golden poem) in the world poetry festival of stroke /Yugoslavia 1986
- First prize in the world poetry festival/ Yugoslavia 1999
- Shield of Damascus from the minister of culture 2008and there are many from the Iraqi government through previous government regime.
