Abdul Ghani Pathan

Dr. Prof. Abdul Ghani Pathan (Sindhi: عبدالغني پٺاڻ) (born 1 January 1953), is a Gold Medalist Mining engineer, and 2009 Best University teacher, by HEC. He is the current Dean Faculty of Engineering at the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan.

Dr. Pathan has a BE in mining engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro (MUET) in 1979 and PhD from Nottingham University, United Kingdom in 1987.

b) Planning, design and execution of “limestone quarry at lakhra” to supply 125,000 ton of limestone to WAPDA for 3x50 MW, F.B.C. coal fired power plant.

c) Evaluation of “Preliminary Mine Design feasibility Report” prepared by China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC) for the development of mechanized underground lignite mines at Lakhra to produce 750,000 ton of lignite per year for 3x50 MW, F.B.C. coal fired power plant.

d) Evaluation of tender proposals submitted by various International Mining Consultants for conducting “Thar Coal Mining Feasibility Study”.

e) Planning, arranging and facilitation of coal mining feasibility study conducted by Chinese.
