Abdul Basheer Abdul Kader (born 1978) is a self-radicalized law graduate from Singapore. He is a young Indian Muslim law graduate who has been detained without trial since February 2007 under the Singapore Internal Security Act and stands accused of planning militant activities, though no evidence of such has been presented to the public or the courts for scrutiny.

Press reports from Singapore suggest that he was arrested after purchasing an air ticket to Pakistan while in the middle east (exact location not disclosed in press reports), but before flying to Pakistan where he hoped to cross into Afghanistan.

A press statement from the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs states that he was given the option of appointing legal counsel to make representations before a closed door tribunal convened to hear the merits of his detention. The decision of the tribunal is confidential and final and there is no avenue of appeal to the Judiciary. He chose to make his own representations before the tribunal and remains under detention. It is not clear what manner of legal assistance was rendered to him to prepare for his case before the tribunal.
