Abbott family
The Abbott family is a fictional family and one of the core families from the CBS Daytime soap opera, The Young and the Restless. The family is currently represented by The Two sons of the late John Abbott, Jack and Billy Abbott. John also had two daughters, Ashley and Traci Abbott, both of whom currently live in New York City. The family is most known for their ongoing feud with the Newman family, which has mostly revolved between Victor Newman and Jack Abbott.

First Generation
- John Abbott (born 1928; died 2006) - Son of Robert & Grandson of Evan
Patriarch of the Abbott family. Father of Jack, Traci Abbott, and legal father of Ashley Abbott with Dina Mergeron. Father of Billy Abbott with Jill Foster. John founded the cosmetics company Jabot. John has married numerous times over the years (include multiple marriages to the same people). John's former wives include: Dina Mergeron, Jill Foster, Jessica Blair, and Gloria Fisher. He is the grandfather to Colleen Carlton, Abby Newman, Keemo Volien Abbott, Kyle Jenkins Abbott, Delia Abbott, and John Abbott.

Second Generation
- Jack Abbott (born June 30, 1953)
He is John and Dina Abbott's oldest child. He is served during the Vietnam War and graduated from Harvard University. During Vietnam he had an affair with Luan Volien that resulted in the birth of Keemo Volien Abbott. He later married Luan. Jack has also been married (some cases multiple times) to Patty Williams, Lindsey Wells, Nikki Newman, Phyllis Summers, and Sharon Newman. Over the years Jack also maintained a romance with Diane Jenkins. Jack has a fierce rivalry with Victor Newman, and has also served as an executive at Jabot Cosmetics for much of his career. His children include Keemo Volien Abbott, Kyle Jenkins Abbott, and John Abbott III, who was a stillborn.
- Ashley Abbott (born April 29, 1960)
Ashley's biological father was actually Brent Davis through an affair Dina Abbott had, but John Abbott raised Ashley and very few people actually know the truth. Ashley's professional career revolves mostly around her family's company Jabot. Ashley has been married numerous times over the years. Her ex-husbands include Steven Lassiter, Victor Newman (two marriages), Blade Bladeson, Cole Howard, Brad Carlton, and Tucker McCall. Her children include two stillborns, Robert Carlton and Hope Newman, as well as Abby Carlton, who was raised by Brad Carlton, but biologically Victor Newman's daughter. Ashley currently lives in New York City.
- Traci Abbott Connolly (born 1964)
Traci is the only biological daughter of John and Dina Abbott. She has had a very successful career as a novelist. She previously was a singer, and had developed a rivalry with Lauren Fenmore. Traci has been married to Danny Romalotti, Brad Carlton (two marriages), and to Steve Connolly to whom she is still married today. She had a daughter, Colleen Carlton, but died in 2009. Traci currently lives in New York City, but returns to Genoa City often.

- Billy Abbott (born July 7, 1993; changed to 1983)-
Billy is John and Jill Abbott's son from their second marriage. Billy has been notoriously the "Black Sheep" of the Abbott family and known for his gambling addictions and playboy behavior. He has had a brief career at Jabot Cosmetics before managing a tabloid, Restless Style. Billy had been married to Mackenzie Browning, Chloe Mitchell, and to Victoria Newman to whom he is currently married to for the third time. His children include Delia Abbott with Chloe and John Abbott through an affair with Chelsea Lawson.

Jabot Cosmetics
Jabot Cosmetics is a cosmetics company, headquartered in Genoa City, Wisconsin. The company is famous for selling expensive, high-end cosmetics.
In 1990, Jack convinced John to take Jabot public. This backfired on Jack when his rival, Victor Newman, bought enough shares to takeover Jabot. Losing ownership of Jabot caused John to have a heart attack.
