Aashutosh Sharma

Aashutosh Sharma (Hindi: आशुतोष शर्मा; born 7 November 1991) is an Indian politician, engineer, and social activist based in Hapur district, Uttar Pradesh. He is a leader in the Samajwadi Party and serves as a National Trainer for the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD & PR).

Political career

Aashutosh Sharma is active in the politics of the Garhmukteshwar Assembly constituency (Seat No. 60) and formerly served as the National Secretary of the Samajwadi Party Student Wing (Chhatra Sabha).

His political activities focus on voter mobilization and organizational training. He has held strategic meetings with Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav regarding constituency issues. The party's state unit has also recognized his appointment and organizational roles via official releases.

In preparation for the 2027 elections, Sharma has been involved in training cadres in Hapur district. He has also led initiatives such as the "Cycle Yatra" for public outreach and specific campaigns for flood relief in affected areas like Chakalathira.

Social activism

Aashutosh Sharma is the National Vice President of the Shaurya Shakti Foundation. Through the foundation, he organizes various community welfare programs:

  • Educational Support: The foundation distributes study materials and textbooks to students, specifically targeting girls' education at institutions like Adarsh Kanya Inter College. The foundation also celebrates National Science Day to promote scientific temper among youth.
  • Youth & Sports: He organizes annual sports events, including running competitions in Simbhavali to encourage fitness among rural youth, and hosts the National Youth Day awards.
  • Women's Empowerment & Governance: The foundation conducts "Mahila Panchayat Sansad" (Women's Panchayat Parliament) to discuss women's issues and honors female achievers. It also runs campaigns for the empowerment of local Panchayats.
