A Promise (2014 film)
A Promise is an American award-winning 2014 independent film written and directed by Samone Norsworthy. Set in 1930's Liberty County, Georgia, the film is a "coming-of-age, faith-based film" starring Tillman Norsworthy, Melvin Joyner.
Plot
Daniel is a 10 year old boy in the 1930s south, during the post-depression era. When his father is dying, he is runs into challenges while trying to save his life.

Reception
On May 7, 2015 the film premiered at Dorchester Village Civic Center in Midway, Georgia. The movie has garnered attention due to using the historic Liberty County, Georgia, as a backdrop for filming. It is also one of 12,000 entries from all 50 states and was one of the 25 percent that was chosen as a winner of the Telly Award.
