50 Greatest Comedy Films
The 50 Greatest Comedy Movies was a documentary conducted by Channel 4 as part of its long running 100 greatest strand. The show asked viewers of the Channel 4 website to vote for their all time comedy movies. The show contained clips from the movies as well as InterViews with celebrities giving monologues on their own movies and giving their opinions on other movies. Among the contributors were Monty Python members Michael Palin and Terry Gilliam, Leslie Nielson, Bobby Farrelly, Jeff Daniels, John Landis, David Zucker, Gene Wilder and Richard Curtis. The show was first broadcast in December 2006 and was narrated by Stephen Fry .
