2nd Civil Military Affairs Group (Reserve)

The 2nd Civil Military Affairs Group, known officially as CMAG Northern Luzon, is one of seven Civil Affairs units of the Civil Military Affairs Brigade (Reserve) of the AFP Reserve Command, and is based in Camp Aquino in Tarlac. The unit provides CMO and CIMIC support to regular units operating under the AFP Northern Luzon Command and reserve units within the Northern and Central Luzon Areas.

The AOR of the 2nd Civil Military Affairs Group covers the entire Northern and Central Luzon.

Mission

• Base for expansion of the Regular Force in the event of war, invasion or rebellion within its AOP.
• Assist the Government in Relief and Rescue Operations in the event of Calamities or Disasters.
• Assist the Government in Socio-economic development and environmental concerns.
• Assist in the operation & maintenance of essential government and private utilies (e.g. power, telecommunications, water).
