21 Meadow Street

21 Meadow Street is a hardcore punk band from Cardiff, UK. The band was formed in the summer of 2004 by a group of close friends that grew up together in a small village just outside the Welsh capital. The band originally started off as a four piece featuring Lloyd Wiltshire, Matthew Hayes, Lee Skyrme and Christopher Baker.

The band initially started playing shows with other more well-known local bands such as Dignity Dies First, Johnny Mental and Of Noble Blood. 'Meadow street' quickly established themselves as a fast hard-hitting hardcore band playing with the likes of Champion, The Promise, Over My Dead Body and Terror.

In early 2005 the band added second guitarist Dominic Parslow, this addition was well received by many supporters of the band. Following The New addition, the band went into the studio to record a six track demo which was later self released.

By 2006 Meadow Street re-released their first six track with two new live recordings. This was released by French hardcore label 'Eternalis Records.' The band promoted the new release by touring across the UK and France.

Guitarist Lee Skyrme left the band in spring 2006, reasons for his departure were unclear and never stated by the band. However it is thought that it was due to work commitments and an opportunity to play his prefer instrument - drums. Lee currently plays in a South Wales hardcore band called Dispatch.

21 Meadow Street did continue with the four remaining members and played a number of shows with a completely new set. However the band eventually came undone and now cease to play.
