2017 Sligo Senior Football Championship
The 2017 Sligo Senior Football Championship is the 111th EDition of Sligo GAA's premier Gaelic football tournament for senior graded clubs in County Sligo, Ireland. The winners receive the Owen B Hunt Cup and represent Sligo in the Connacht Senior Club Football Championship.
The tournament consists of 12 teams, starts with a group stage and then progresses to a knock out stage.
Tourlestrane were the defending champions after they defeated St. Mary's in the previous years final.
Easkey made their return to the senior grade after claiming the 2016 Sligo Intermediate Football Championship title.

Group stage
All 10 teams enter the competition at this stage. The top team in Group A goes straight into the Semi-Finals, while the 2nd and 3rd placed teams in Group A along with the top 2 teams in Group B and C go into the Quarter-Finals. The teams who finish bottom in each group play each other in a Relegation Playoff.

Knock-Out Stages
Relegation Playoffs
Bottom placed teams in each group qualify for the Relegation Playoff. A random draw will be conducted to determine which teams play in the Relegation Semi-Final, with the loser proceeding to the Relegation Final. The loser of the final will be relegated to the Sligo Intermediate Championship for 2018.
