The ceremony was held on 17 December 2012 at the TVB Studios in [[Tseung Kwan O]], [[Hong Kong]]. It was televised live on Hong Kong's [[TVB Jade|Jade]] and HD Jade channels.

The list of nominees were announced on Wednesday 21 November 2012 in a press conference. The top three or five nominees for Best Drama and Best Actor and Actress were announced at the beginning of the award ceremony.
