The Knockout stages of the 2013 SAFF Championship featured host and defending champions India and Afghanistan from group A, along with Nepal and last tournaments runners up Maldives, from group B. Afghanistan beat Nepal 1-0 with Balal Arezou's strike in the 101' minute, while India swept aside the Maldives 3-1. Both losing sides had a player sent off.
