2010 FIFA World Cup full team ranking
All 32 teams are ranked on the following criteria, which has been used by FIFA for previous tournaments 1:
- Stage reached. Teams in blue reached the semifinals, orange were eliminated in the quarterfinals, green in the round of 16, and grey were eliminated in group play.
- Points earned. 3 for a win, including in extra time; 1 for a draw, including a game that was decided in penalties; 0 for a loss, including in extra time. A 1 in brackets in the draw column indicates a draw lost on penalties, while a * indicates a draw won on penalties.
- Goal difference. Includes knockout play.
- Goals scored. Includes knockout play.
This ranking is consistent with the 2002 and 2006 rankings used in seeding the teams.
