2009 Akron Aeros season

The Akron Aeros' baseball season is the franchise's thirtieth year of play. The Aeros began the season at home in Canal Park with a 9-5 victory against the Bowie Baysox on April 8.

Notes

  • The Aeros started the season with a record of 12-2 (their 12th victory came on April 24)
  • 2009 marked the sixth straight season that catcher, and career minor leaguer, Armando Camacaro appeared in a game for the Aeros (April 25 was Camacaro's first game with the Aeros in 2009)
  • On four straight days, May 3 to 6, the Aeros were rained out of five games
  • From the start of the season to May 8, the Aeros were a consistent .800 team with records of 4-1, 8-2, 16-4, and 20-5.
  • For much May, the Aeros owned the best record in professional baseball and had a record of 20 games over .500 three different times: 30-10, 31-11, and 32-12.
