Summary

First Conference: A pre-tournament favorite, the ESQ men had a rough time entering the semis, at the end of the first round of eliminations, tied at 5th place with Royal at 3-win, 4-loss, needed the quotient system over Filmanbank and U/tex to qualify in the semifinal round, all three teams register a 7-7 record after 14 games, lost 5 of its 6 assignments in the four-team semis, and had to contend again to play for third place, with their series against Crispa deadlocked at 2-2 and the finals already over, Tanduay clinch third place, again via quotient system.

Second Conference: With returning import Gene Moore, together with David Payne, Tanduay was third with a 9-5 card, behind Crispa's 10-4 and U-Tex' 11-3, after the eliminations, history repeat itself in the semifinals as the Distillers suffered streak losses to bow out anew from the championship, they were swept in three games by Toyota in their series for third place.

Third Conference: With the rule allowing simultaneous fielding of two imports, the Moore-Payne duo led the ESQ ballclub to score upset victories to enter the finals in the Invitational Conference, with little support from the locals, Tanduay lost to Toyota, 1-3.
