History
Founded in 1997 by brothers Arvind Kajaria and Sharad Kajaria. In January 2007, comScore ranked 123Greetings as the second fastest growing website in the world.
In 2008, the website raised its first round of funding from Intel Capital, to develop new services and products, as part of a $250 million.
In 2009, 123Greetings launched its Studio platform wherein artists and visualizers from the worldwide community can create, upload and showcase their card creations on its website.
In 2009, 123Greetings was named the "best e-greeting website" by the "Festival Greetings Diwali" community. The website was also named by Digital Trends as one of the most stable e-greeting websites, along with Hallmark and E-Cards.com and tenth in the Top 10 Websites for Free Ecards by AbOUT.com. It was also reviewed and named as one of the best websites for e-greetings by Yahoo! and Squidoo. In 2009, 123Greetings.com was ranked second in Alexa.com's Movers & Shakers list, and 71st largest website on Valentine's Day that same year.
The website had over 95 million unique users in the 2012 fiscal year, with e-cards sent from 230 different countries.
In 2012, more than 2.5 million Valentine's Day greeting cards were sent from 123Greetings.com, saving over 1000 trees.
In 2014, the company also launched 123invitations.com, a free website for creating online invitations for parties, public events etc. Compete.com reported that 123greetings.com received over 697,740 unique visitors in July 2015.
Some of the group companies include Intrasoft Technologies Ltd. and 123Stores.com, Inc. which ranked #392 in the 2015 Internet Retailer rankings.
In 2015, 123Greetings named one of the five best free e-card sites by International Business Times.
