12480 was designed Bradley Tetzlaff as an Alphanumeric writing system.
This was created for the computer game Ecclemony in 2002 and is intended to be the basis of a constructed languages. In this respect it is much like Esperanto or the Klingon Language from Star Trek.
12480 is not based upon audible elements or phonemes, but rather upon binary.
The number 12480 comes from the hexadecimal base-16 numerical sequence.

Super Smash Brothers Melee is a game we all know and love. It has given birth though, to a new form of physics which constantly baffle those who experience them. This page serves to explain some of these physics, and if possible detail the laws governing these physics.
1) The first law of Smash Physics is that momentum can be created or destroyed without an external force acting upon the body.
2) The second law of Smash Physics is that a body can accelerate in any direction, at any time, without the presence of an external force.
3) The third law of Smash Physics is that invisible walls do exist. They are known to interrupt the flight path of an object. This law is often confused with the second law, but make no mistake this is a very real and very potent law.
4) The forth law of Smash Physics is that a boot, when delivered from Samus, has power derived from an omnipotent being. It trumps all other attacks for no apparent reason. It must be noted though, that boots of all kinds are potent attacks in this game, however Samus' is the only one which has divine power behind it.
5) The fifth law of Smash Physics is that Birdo, the non-played character from mushroom kingdom, does in fact have consciousness and very selectively will attack and maim certain players. While she might appear to attack at random, make no mistake, she is a trained killer who serves simply to mess up games. She will also recruit characters in game by saving their lives, simply to further humiliate and destroy her victims. It should also be noted that the "gator" from the DK series, is clearly in cahoots with Birdo as it commonly jumps onto a level in order to kill a player.
6) The sixth law of Smash Physics is that Gannondorf's bulge, which can be observed if his down A aerial attack is done and paused at his full extension, has the same mass as game&watch. What does this mean? That Gannondorf is seriously the most manly man in the game.
7) The seventh law of Smash Physics is that when pitted against each other, a sword and a hand (or any other limb) can cancel each other out, with no actual harm to the hand.
8) The eight law of Smash Physics is that sound travels faster than light. The sound of an action being executed does not, in any way, insure that the action actually happened.
9) All forces are scalars as direction clearly does not matter.
This site will be updated as new laws are realized. Users are encouraged to upload picture and video evidence of Smash Physics as well as their own interpretations of the laws.

Dirt Fishermen were based in Boise, Idaho in the post-grunge era of 1988-1994. They consisted of five original members, Dave Grapp, Gina Gregerson, KT Shanafelt, Dan Krejci, and Gavin. A self-titled demo tape was recorded and the initial pressing of 500 sold out quickly. The band played the first of many out of town shows and won over crowds in Portland and Eugene while opening for soon-to-be good friends The Dharma Bums. Glenn Newkirk replaced Gavin in 1990. Shortly after that the band traveled to Dogfish Studios outside of Portland to record the "glenn's car" album. The title is based on the cover photo which is actually a photo of Lee's car after it caught fire next to Boise High school one summer evening. The album was released through Silence Records (label started by the Treepeople). 500 copies on LP and 1000 on cassette which sold out quickly and was not repressed until the CD release in October of 2006. After several Northwest tours and some shows in the Southwest Dave Grapp left the band. With KT and Gina taking over all vocal duties the band shifted gears from a politically charged folk-rock five piece to a grungier four piece that had less in common with R.E.M. and more in the vein of Seven Year Bitch and The Gits. In 1992 the band signed to C/Z records based in Seattle, WA. This label was home to fellow Idahoans, The Treepeople and Caustic Resin, as well as Seven Year Bitch, Alcohol Funnycar and later Built to Spill. The third LP "Vena Cava" was recorded at home in Boise but famed producer Jack Endino made the trip over from Seattle to produce the record. They toured the US with noted bands Sunny Day Real Estate and the Mieces as well as Monks of Doom and Dirt Clod Fight. The group disbanded in 1994 and all members individually worked separately on new musical projects. The group held reunion shows in October of 2006 to large crowds of loyal fans in their home town of Boise, Idaho. The group remains on hiatus, vowing to play occasionally.
