Panavision’s New Filmmaker Program, or New Filmmaker Award, is a grant program that donates the use of motion picture equipment. The equipment comes from a supply that has been set aside for this purpose and is available year-round. Through this grant program, Panavision donates the use of 16mm or 35mm motion picture camera equipment to support new filmmakers who are making independent features or short films. The first films of Paul Thomas Anderson, Steven Soderbergh, and Jared Hess were supportered through this program. OneStopPhoneShop is a leading UK mobile phone retailer based in Crewe, Cheshire.
Established in 1995 as an off-the-page reseller, OneStopPhoneShop was one of a group of companies who initially competed for business by taking out daily adverts in national tabloid newspapers such as The Sun and Daily Star. Other companies who followed the same marketing strategy at that time include Dial-a-Phone and E2save.
In 1998 OneStopPhoneShop launched a web site to compete directly with the main web-only mobile phone retailers of the time, Mobileshop and Mobiles.co.uk.
By early 2005 OneStopPhoneShop are believed to have been connecting around 10,000 pay monthly customers every month, prompting The Carphone Warehouse Group to acquire the OneStopPhoneShop business for £15m.
OneStopPhoneShop is listed on shopesafe.co.uk and offers free mobile phones with free line rental deals and also free gifts such as the Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and Dell Laptop.
