Blitwise Productions is based in Endicott, New York and is the project of Michael P. Welch who has been coding for about 15 years and is a huge fan of the C64 and Amiga computers. Mike picked-up his taste for small-scale, 1 to 2 developer garage titles back in the "good old days". He prefers simple games that addict you quickly, where you never have to read a manual.
Mike Welch likes fast frame rates, bright colors, euro demo effects, and simple yet addictive gameplay. His games reflect these tastes very closely.
The Flagship Production of Blitwise is the well known 1-on-1 artillery classic Pocket Tanks, which has over 190 weapons, a spiritual remake of the classic Amiga game Scorched Tanks. Another achievement of Welch and the Blitwise staff is the popular "DX-Ball" series, which includes DX-Ball and Super DX-Ball (Deluxe). Blitwise has also recently released a New game called Neon Wars.
Blitwise productions has sold its creations worldwide, and continues to develop new expansions and new arcade style games.
With all the success of Blitwise, its creator Mike Welch never forgets the fans. With free versions of all of his games, as well as some free add-ons, Blitwise fans are kept well-interested.
Blitwise has recently developed a Community Forum for fans to discuss and share ideas as well as the previews that Mike and his staff post about new releases.
