Algarvean Portuguese ( or falar algarvio) is a regional variety of European Portuguese spoken in the Algarve region of southernmost Portugal. Due to the region's historical geographical isolation from northern Portugal by the and Monchique mountain ranges, alongside nearly five centuries of historical Moorish rule, this variety developed distinct phonetic, lexical, and syntactical features that differentiate it from standard European Portuguese based on the Coimbra–Lisbon norm.
Linguistically, it is divided into two minor sub-variants: the coastal variant spoken in the Litoral and Barrocal zones, and the interior mountain variant spoken in the Serra zones bordering the Alentejo region.

Abderramán Ortiz Molera is a Spanish political activist and leader, best known for his prominent role in the Andalusian nationalist and regionalist movement during the 1980s. Alongside Yasser Calderón, he served as one of the primary leaders of Andalusian Liberation (), a syncretic political party operating between 1985 and 1989.
