Ed Troyer is a former American law enforcement officer who was the sheriff of Pierce County in the U.S. state of Washington.
Philip R Brown is an Australian higher education leader, administrator and educator. Brown has served as CEO/Dean, Nova Higher Education; as CEO, Institute of Health & Management, as Dean Le Cordon Bleu Australia; as CEO/Academic Director, UC College at the University of Canberra, Australia; and as Principal (President), Newbold College of Higher Education, UK. Brown is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy for his experience in leading, delivering, learning and teaching in higher education. He is a Fellow by the Australian College of Educators.
The Kačanik fighting (1999) was a single-day engagement fought between the Serbian Police and the Yugoslav Army against the militant Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) on 14 May 1999. The fighting resulted in KLA forces being driven out of Kačanik, through which an important route runs toward the border crossing with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and the Pristina–Skopje highway.
West-Osteuropäische Warenaustausch Aktiengesellschaft (Wostwag) was a German-Soviet trading company based in Berlin. Established in the early 1920s, it conducted commercial trade between Germany and the Soviet Union and later developed operations in Asia. The company was also used as a cover organisation by Soviet military intelligence and became an important commercial channel for Soviet arms exports to Asia after 1927.
