Simple Unique Identities or SUI are a suite of generated compatible 20 character long unique identity codes that are offered as a free service for anyone requiring unique codes for items, filenames, e-books, articles, etc.,.

The identity code consist of an IP net address and two GMT/UTC time-stamps produced using serially generated bit flags to allow for the production of 16 unique indentity codes per second on servers and websites.

Locally generated ID codes (LUI software) can generate as many codes as fast as the users CPU is capable of processing using multiple AUIs and CUIs as resources.

Servers and websites generate use a single cgi script to produce an identity code, servers using their own IP address and Websites using the IP address of the user requesting the CUI. Both these can be used as identity codes, they can also be used to produce on the users own machine that simply takes the first GMT/UTC time-stamps and substitutes the local machine's GMT/UTC time-stamps thus producing a new unique identity.

----
CGI scripts are available for free by Server and Website owners to provide the service. PNG and SVG versions of SUI Logos also are freely available to use in conjunction with the scripts.

SUI was designed by Les Moull of Lestec. First released in January 2008. The indentity code is rendered in a version of base32 ("a-z" "2-7" case interchangeable).

Summary of SUI Subsystems: AUI, CUI and LUI codes
Three methods

# Server owners can provide an anonymous service, providing a code that does not conatin any request information, only the IP address of the server itself - AUI Anonymous Unique IDs.
# Website owners can provide a request based code service, providing a code that conatins the IP address information of the "client" making the request - CUI Client Unique IDs.
# User generated identities employ either a AUI or a CUI (previously obtained), to produce a new unique identity code, via utility software and interpreted scripts languages on their own machine - LUI Locally-Generated Unique IDs.

Benefits

* Are actually universally unique and only 20 characters long.

* Can be rendered in upper or lowercase without changing their value (adapted base32).

* Are based on IP V4 (32 bit) and GMT/UTC time-stamps (no random factoring used).

* Can be extended to use IP V6 (128 bit), though this will produce longer, but compatible, identity codes - future proofed design.

* It is simple to use, easy to understand and not limited to any special software - browsers, scripts and utility software can access the service, it is based on HTTP/net CGI - the scripts are small and freely available.

* Requires only a small CGI script to be placed on servers and websites.

* Literally endless generation of unique codes by users on own their machines using tails via CUIs and AUIs. Use of multiple tails allows for fast generation of codes.

* The identity codes are written in reverse, in order to maximise the randomising effect of starting characters, two requests having the same IP component coming within seconds of one another will always differ in their initial characters.

* AUIs and CUIs can be used for free now, without any extra software.

Restrictions, Warnings and Potential Problems

* ONLY ONE AUI CGI SCRIPT CAN BE RUN ON A SINGLE SERVER IP ADDRESS - otherwise there is a chance of two identical codes being produced. AUI CGI scripts are at this primary stage it is restricted and not for general release.
** At the moment all AUI requests are being directed to the Lestec site, as the system is being checked and potential traffic loads are being estimated. The free server version will be released soon however.

* In order to avoid excessive length and complexity of the unique codes, each request is processed serially, and only 16 requests per second can be processed (AUIs and CUIs).
** Multiple CUI CGI scripts are possible on the one website, but this has not yet been developed, it is suggested that potential service providers use, for the time being, only a single CGI script on their site.

* There is no round-robin system as yet to redirect trafic more evenly across server AUI services.
** No blocking mechanism for repeated requests from the same client has been developed as yet.
** The SUI system was designed on the assumptions that users will manufacture most of their unique identity codes on their own machine as LUIs.
** It was never intended that each and every unique identities code needs to be produced by net requests, if it became popular this may create an overload problem. Blokcking repeated requests is not considered a major technical difficulty.

* LUI utilities will be developed, but at this time things are limited - third party contributions will be welcomed.
** LUI creation depends on the local machine on keeping GMT/UTC time reasonably accurately. If net connected it is recommended that utilities check the time (this is always safe).
** When not connected, if the clock time falls behind the issuing AUI or CUI stamp it is possible repeat an ID.
** The solution is to not use the original AUI or CUI at all but store it as resource, assuming the machine can be relied upon to keep consequative time sequence, even if it is out of sync with real time.
** It is very important not to use LUIs to produce LUIs for the chances of duplication exists. Users and utility designers must show due care in handling the different ID types.

* Issues dealing with listings of service providers either in the wiki or some other repository have not yet been implemented. It is strongly suggested that anyone using AUI or CUI CGI scripts keep in touch with this wiki so that when a simple system is devised they may be included.

Descriptions
All variations of SUI (AUI, CUI & LUI) are the same Unique Identity codes. The difference is how and where they are created, not in how they are finally used.

It is intended, that users request a number of AUIs and CUIs and use these to produce LUIs as they require. LUIs are at the moment restricted to producing an ID code per second, the reason is the simplicity of coding LUI utilities, especially for scripting for interpreted languages and integrating this service into software packages. Using a list of AUIs and CUIs simulataneously is capable of producing as many LUIs at whatever speed is required.

AUI Anonymous Unique IDs
CUI Client Unique IDs
LUI Locally-generated Unique IDs

Free Software
For Server Owners
For the moment the server version (AUI) is operating from http://www.lestec.com.au/aui/aui.cgi until we are satisfied that it has all the functionality needed and have some means of estimating traffic problems. It should be released soon for Server owners.

For Web Site Owners
CUI.cgi will be released in a matter of days for anyone owning a website to add as a service.

For Users
The SUIcodes should be immediately useful to those requiring only an occassional identity. In the next few weeks both a few free and commercial packages will be made available. Code snippets, useful scripts etc.,. will be added. However, anyone wishing to contribute is welcome, or if anyone wants to make themseleves a LUI engine the specifictions section should make clear what is involved.

WYWIWYT, or What You Write Is What You Think, is a writing technique proposal to improve writing and thinking speed. It was designed to avoid losing mind flow as we write.

This is not an approved technique and neither a studied method. It is only writing methodology proposal.

The technique is based on writing many short telegram sentences as we think and construct a linear text after this process. This enforce mind flow without concerning to sentence construction, keeping focus on the ideas.

are a Manchester based rock and metal band, formed in 2002 by Guitarist and current member, Chris Appleton. The band have had quite a success in the UK Rock and Metal scene, bringing a sound that reminds people of the classic British Rock scene, with modern day influences thrown in for good measure. There have been a few line-up changes over the years, released two albums, and are preparing to launch a new CD-Single, under a new line-up, involving Adam Cropper on Bass, and Martin McNee on Drums

History
The Beginning (2002 - 2004)

In 2002, Chris Appleton, guitar player, had left High School and had ambitions of starting up a band. He had been playing in pleanty of bands during his School years, but felt it was now time to take what he knew and put it into practice. He began recruiting fellow musicians to help achieve this goal, and found drummer Chris Brooks, and bass player Paul Hulme. The first line-up of the band "Fury" (as it was known at the time), was born.

They started gigging through the local venues, mostly small pub gigs where they would entertain the people there with classic Rock songs from the likes of , AC/DC, and legendary Metal songs from Metallica, and . They also participated in various Competitons in the local region, as well as HMV Showcases and Band Nights within the city of Manchester.

After a few gigs, Chris Brooks left the band due to conflicts affecting his position within the trio. It was here that Adam Galloway joined the band, and would soon become the longest drummer for Fury. Adz, as they called him, was thrown into the deep end, as he continued with the gigs that were left over for the band. But during this time, Paul Hulme decided to leave the band due to personal problems with his family. And then Fury recruited the next member, Marc Dawson, to step in on the Bass Guitar.

After these critical line-up changes, the first Fury recordings began. The two songs, "Here No Evil" and "Alarms" were recorded for an EP, which would no doubt help them for all future gigs, of which there were pleanty. Soon the gigs began to move from the small pubs to actual music venues in the local area. Things were looking bright for the rocking trio at this point, putting every effort into their live shows, giving
people a full-on rock performance!

As 2005 hit, conflicts between the trio would then force them to split up for a total of six months!

My Tomorrow (2005)

After the six month break-up, the trio came back together, feeling stronger and more confident within themselves. They then decided to jump into the studio and begin recording, not an EP, but an album! The result, in November 2005, was a ten-track album called "My Tomorrow", which included the two EP songs "Hear No Evil" and "Alarms", as well as songs (regarded presently as "classics") like "Power Of God", "Mercenaries", and "Death By Lightning".

With this album under their belts, they hit the local venues and pubs hard in 2006. Some venues they found themselves opening the night, and some they found themselves headlining. As the gigs grew, so did the fan base, going all up and down the United Kingdom. Eventually, some bigger gigs began to pour in, and Fury were set to take over! They added the "UK" section to the name, thus renaming them to "Fury UK".

Face of Adversity (2007)

As 2006 began to wrap up, the time came to begin work on a follow-up album to "My Tomorrow". The trio worked hard and strong, and as 2007 began, they had the makings of their second album. They moved into the Cutting Rooms, and Oxygene Studios in Manchester, with engineer Christophe, and started work through a good portion of 2007. The end result is the album "Face Of Adversity", a quite dark rock and metal album, focused on disaster and overcombing adversity. In October 2007, the album became avaliable all over the UK, in various independant stores, as well as HMV, Virgin Megastores, online on Amazon.co.uk, and various other places! Many reviews cited a lot of different genre influences weaving throughout the album, as the band began to experiment with each other's personal favourite genres. As [http://www.rock-metal-music-reviews.com/album-review-fury-uk-face-of-adversity/ "The Dreaded Press" said about the album:

"....Bucking the trends by ignoring the fashions of the moment.... borrows ideas liberally from the last 30 years of metal, but manages to retain a sound of its' own"

And as "Live4Metal.com" wrote:

"....the overtones of masters of previous years with the rawness and drive of youth is a great combination. With regard to the new line up, the live shows seem to be based in the North West, and based on this platter deserve to be a sellout. But come on chaps, get a van and bless the rest of the UK with a bit of FUKing."

Metal Hammer Cover CD

Issue 171 (October 2007) of magazine. On the cover CD, the track "Breakthrough" off of the album, was featured.

Departure of Adz and Dawson

As the "Face Of Adversity" album began to raise heads towards Fury UK, and as recognition from Metal Hammer and other web-zines began to flood in, long-serving bass player Dawson decided he wanted to leave the band. With an heavy gig schedule approaching, it was a very untimely choice, made evn harder by drummer Adz wishing to leave too. The trio as they were finished off as many of the gigs as they could before new members could be traced down.

The New "Fury UK"

The search began for Chris Appleton to find new members for the band to fufill the next lot of up-and-coming dates, as well as become long-term members to the unit. The first person to come in to Fury UK, was bass player Adam Cropper, closely followed by drummer Martin McNee. After both giving successful auditions, the newly formed trio began to hit the gig scene hard, as if a change had not occured. The sound became slightly darker, and the mood a bit more towards the Metal side of the trio, but retaining the original sound of the 2005 - 2007 periods.

Fury UK recieved notification that they were nominated for various awards through Glasswerk. These Nominations were for: "Three Piece Band", "Rock Award", "Rock Band", and "New Band". The awards were held in London in the AKA Club. Unfortunately, Fury UK walked away with no awards.

Supporting Blaze Bayley

Fury UK supported the legendary singer, (ex-, Wolfsbane) at the Rios in Leeds, on the 23rd November. The show, to the band, was a great success, especially when Blaze's management immediately informed Fury UK of more chances to support Blaze, in Manchester on the 04 December at the Music Box, and then the 06 December, at The Rigger in Newcastle-Under-Lyne.

The Future

In the first opening days of 2008, Fury UK entered the studio to record a CD Single featuring the new line-up, entitled "Salvation". The recording went from the 6th up to the 8th January, with mixing taking place on the 10th, at Studio Studio, near Rochdale. This is to hopefully be released in February 2008, to coincide with pleanty of dates they have in February, and throughout the rest of the year!

Fury UK are scheduled to appear at the in Birmingham, as well as performing at the "Monsters Of Mosh" festival at in Manchester, where they shall be on the same bill once again.
