Lord Perenolde of Alterac led the weakest contributor to the Alliance of Lordaeron during the Second War. He feared for the safety of his people, so he betrayed the Alliance by feeding information to Doomhammer and the Horde. Perenolde arranged for a peasant revolt in to cover mining operations there, and attempted to assassinate Sir Uther Lightbringer to tamper with the Order of the Silver Hand.
Perenolde was found out, Alterac was all but destroyed, and he escaped. However, during an Orcish attack on the Stormwind in the aftermath, Perenolde had the Book of Medivh stolen by his troops in an attempt to use the Orcs to rid his lands of the vengeful troops of Stromgarde and Lordaeron. However, after the debacle, martial law was instituted a second time, and Perenolde was forced to turn over his crown.

Anetheron is a member of the Burning Legion in the fictional Warcraft universe. He is a cunning and horrifically powerful Dreadlord, Anetheron was second in the ranks of the Nathrezim only to Tichondrius himself (he later took the place of Tichondrius for a brief period).
Anetheron waited in the Twisting Nether, acting as emissary of Archimonde to Tichondrius. They grew agitated when they began to suspect the Lich King of treachery. But Tichondrius was confident that, despite his obvious ulterior motives, the Lich King was still providing the tools they needed to make way for the invasion. In a meeting in the Twisting Nether, Tichondrius assured Anetheron that everything was still well in his control.
Because Anetheron mentioned only Archimonde in the council with Tichondrius and Mephistroth, it has been inferred that he was loyal to the Defiler only, and held little loyalty to Kil'jaeden.
When Archimonde came to the world, Anetheron went with him, and served as a personal guardsman. When Tichondrius was killed by Illidan, Anetheron was given joint rule of the Scourge, alongside the deadly blood lich, Rage Winterchill.
Anetheron showed his tenacity when he led the Scourge against the Sentinels, Alliance, and Horde in the final, climactic battle for Mount Hyjal. However, Anetheron was killed during the battle.
