Utilizing the ever popular Bingo platform as an educational tool has been one of the fastest growing trends off late. This idea was first conceptualized using Bingo, the classical version as the base. Such educational tools have found favour not only in private class rooms and one on one tutoring but also has risen to the level that it is being competitively used in the classrooms of some of the leading institutions around the world. The potential of Bingo has been realized to the full extent one feels and applying the same formula to lead different more fruitful results other than gambling for money is definitely felt as a more worthwhile approach.
Classroom bingo has become popular because of its parent games easy of playability and practicality. The very concept that the Bingo game is based on, which is chance has been taken to different levels because the concept is easy to apply to other areas as well, especially in the area of education. There are illustrations of Bingo being used to teach English and vocabulary right from the basic level to higher grade English to grownups. For example the set of 5x5 cards remains the same as the classical Bingo and the caller is the person who calls out the cards in random from a pack that he or she may be holding. The only difference in classroom Bingo is that the cards that can be scored off if the caller reads it can be answers to the questions that the caller asks. For example, if the game is based on teaching opposites, the caller can say a word like “top” and this means that the player has to strike off the card that holds the answer to the question, which is “bottom”. This means that only if the player knows the answer to the questions that the caller is asking can he actually win in the game. This urge of victory is actually the stimulant along with the basic fun that the game offers. This urge will definitely stimulate people to learn more so that their chances of winning the classroom Bingo are higher. The same concept is also applied to several subjects as in the case of mathematics, where a simple problem may be explained by the caller and the answer to this problem is written on the cards that the user has to strike off. Only if the user knows how to compute the problem can he actually get the answer and strike it off from his set of cards. This also increases the player’s speed of computing along with the calculation efficiency. Classroom bingo thereby can hone several key areas of a person’s capability in a particular field. The stress however is to design a game appropriate to the audience that will be playing it.
Classroom bingo has gained wide spread acceptance all over the world and the results are there to prove that after such an implementation it has actually had a positive impact on education of the masses.

Arithmo is an online accounting software system designed for accountants and small to medium sized businesses.
History
Arithmo came from the TWD group of companies, but is a wholly self contained, independent entity. The group is headed up by Bernard Oster, and provides accountancy services for individuals and small businesses. It was formed in 1996 and has expended into other areas aside from accountancy.
Arithmo Accounting Solutions Ltd was created to provide a stand alone company to create, develop, market and support online accounting designed for small businesses.
Development
The original guise of Arithmo was called Entrax. This was a very simple PC based, proprietary piece of software written in VB.net, using access tables. It was developed in-house and was limited in scope and functionality. However, it showed the need for a bookkeeping system designed to be used by the complete novice.
Recognising the move away from stand alone software to web based models, a team of developers from Kbase Connect of Bristol, UK, were brought in to create the first version of the system called TWD Online. This came online in 1997.
In early 1998 a new version of the software was launched that had been developed to incorporate more accountancy functionality.
Alongside this, an accountants' version of Arithmo is also available, with more technical features and a control panel for all clients.

The Feces bandit is the name given by the media to a man in the Saint Louis County, Missouri area who would defecate and then place his feces on the walls, ceilings, floors, bathroom light switch covers, vending machines and drinking fountains in dozens of restaurants, coffee shops and a junior college. It is believed that the suspect commits these crimes in order to obtain strong shock reactions from his victims. His most common practice is to place fecal matter on light switches in a restroom with the light off so when his victim enters he must reach for a light switch that he cannot see, resulting in fecal matter on his hand. As of March 11, 2009, no suspect has been identified.
