Chemenish (Cheh for short)
Is a form of speak, often used by teenagers in the north of england.
The main users of this form of speak are people usually living in a rough area of the town they reside in.
It is believed to of originated in Liverpool, England were it was more considered a speech difficulty or mental problem.
It has now spread across northern england in a lot of the other towns including:
Manchester
Southport
Skelmersdale
Ormskirk
Outer liverpool
Doncaster (Slightly different use of chemenish)
Leeds(same as doncaster)
And other areas.
People who speak like this are often mocked by the higher class teenagers, or people who are fluent speakers.
They often end up being nicknamed in the form of speak.
For example:
Steven/Stephen
=
Shtey
or
Shtay.
Words containing sibilant letters (E.g - S) or often pronounced with a H after the vowel.
A stereotypical conversation using this form of speak would be.
"Eyar, lad, can you lend ush shome shiggysh"
Which would stereotypically be replied to as follows:
"No lad,im shavin em for when i get some Grenner (Cannabis)"
Which translated would be.
"Here, lad, can you lend us some ciggys?
"No lad, i am sorry, i am saving them for when i get hold of some cannabis"
There is also a faint rattle to the tone of voice used and people who dont naturally speak in this voice must pull a sort of grimace in order for the sounds to reverberate around inside their mouths properly and emit this sound.
It is also used to mock people who are trying to look good or tough.
When laughing in this voice, for people naturally with this voice or who have adapted this voice it comes out as a normal laugh.
For people who are mocking they sometimes laugh in this voice which sounds like a long, straight noise with a slight rattle from the larynx.
For people with severe cases of chemenish, they often constantly talk like this whenever they speak.
They are often mocked by people making prolonged, or exaggerated; Cheeeeehhh or Chemeneflemene.
People who talk using chemenish are often referred to as stupid or thick.
Other Stereotypes can be claiming the person speaking like this:
Takes drugs
Is bad at fighting but always picks fights.
Walks with an exaggerated bounce in their step.
A lot of these are more true than not but in some cases you can get a perfectly normal, decent person who just suffers from this speech deficiency.

"FIrst (sic) of all your mediocre photo is all over the internet. You go ahead and seek further action, if you have time to do that you probably are still looking for work. Don't threaten me and I'd govern yourself accordingly when calling people names and making allegations or you might find yourself on the other end of a libel suit you petulant starving artist." ~ Erin Rosas
