Lukas 'Laslos' Miklos, a fictional character in the Left Behind novel series, is a Greek (with a Hungarian name) mining magnate based near Ptolemais. His business is the mining of lignite. He is known to Ken Ritz, and the Tribulation Force (Tsion Ben-Judah, Chloe Steele Williams, Rayford Steele) make contact with him after fleeing Jerusalem where was stranded and Ritz was killed.
When Buck briefly visits Laslos on his way home to America many months later, Buck encourages Laslos to sell off the lignite business to the Global Community before it becomes impossible for Laslos to sell (by reason of refusing to take the Mark of the Beast), and move into another business to serve the International Commodity Co-operative that will sustain the believers when the mark of the beast is required.
Laslos' wife is among those captured and required to decide between taking the mark of the beast or being executed on the guillotine. She chooses the guillotine. Laslos himself is killed later by a Carpathianist double agent.

Dr. Floyd Charles is a fictional character in the Left Behind series, by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins.
Prior to the Rapture, Floyd practiced medicine, primarily in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was married to a woman who was among those who vanished. While he is described as never having been a religious man, his daughter's death in a bus accident on her very first day of school is said to have pushed him further from faith. His wife pleaded with him for many years to get saved, but he did not become a Christian until after the Rapture.
Floyd serves as physician to the Tribulation Force and lives with them for some time. He cares for Chloe Steele Williams during her pregnancy and delivers her son, Kenneth Bruce Williams (or Kenny Bruce), at the end of Apollyon. At the same time, he treats Hattie Durham's poisoning and pregnancy. When Hattie miscarries the fetus due to the poisoning, Floyd comes into contact with the poison. Months later he develops serious symptoms as a result of coming in contact with the virus. He passes away in Assassins and is laid to rest at the safe house.

Kanohi are the masks worn by character in the Bionicle world that magnetically attach to the face. There are four classes of mask: ordinary, noble, great and legendary. They are created from Kanoka Discs in Metru Nui and their ranking depends on the quality and blending of the discs employed.
Ordinary Masks
Ordinary masks are worn by Matoran and other species such as Vortixx, Skakdi and some Rahi. They have no powers and do not have individual names.
Noble Masks
Worn by Turaga, they are usually altered versions of great masks and consequently have lessened powers and shorter durations. Known Noble Masks are:
Kiril, Mask of Regeneration
Worn by Turaga Dume, it has the power to restore ruined or damaged buildings to their original state. Dume used the mask to begin the repairs to Metru Nui when the Toa Metru departed for the island of Mata Nui.
Huna, Mask of Concealment
Worn by Turaga Vakama, it has the power to make the wearer invisible for a limited time.
Rau, Mask of Translation
Worn by Turaga Nokama, it has the power to translate written languages.
Ruru, Mask of Night Vision
Worn by Turaga Whenua, it allows the wearer to see in the dark.
Matatu, Mask of Telekinesis
Worn by Turaga Nuju, it allows the wearer to lift objects and people through will power for a limited time.
Mahiki, Mask of Illusion
Worn by Turaga Matau, it allows the wearer to project lifelike illusions.
Komau, Mask of Mind Control
Worn by Turaga Onewa, it allowed the wearer to influence the minds of Rahi or lest intelligent Matoran.
Kadin, Mask of Flight
Worn by Turaga Jovan, it allowed the wearer to fly under his/her own power for a limited time.
Great Masks
Worn by Toa, these masks are like Noble Masks but with greater power and longer durations. They are able to be destroyed in a number of ways.
Toa Mata
Hau/Hau Nuva, Mask of Shielding
Worn by Tahu and Lhikan, it allows the wearer to shield himself against expected attacks. The Nuva version had a stronger, more lasting shield and (like all its Nuva counterparts) could share its power with other Nuva Masks at close quarters.
Kaukau/Kaukau Nuva, Mask of Water Breathing
Worn by Gali, it allows the wearer to breath underwater for an extended period of time. The Nuva version allowed Gali to stay submerged for longer and to breath at greater depths.
Miru/Miru Nuva, Mask of Levitation
Worn by Lewa, it allows the wearer to harness updraughts and repel the ground and, if finly controlled, glide down to the ground. It couldn't work from a standing start. The Nuva version allowed allowed a semblance of flight without having to rely on air currents.
Pakari/Pakari Nuva, Mask of Strength
Worn by Onua, it increases the physical strength of the wearer. The Nuva version increased it to their absolute limit.
Akaku/Akaku Nuva, Mask of X-Ray Vision
Worn by Kopaka, it allows the wearer to see through solid objects and, with a special lens, telescopic vision. The Nuva version allowed greater penetration and distance.
Pakari/Pakari Nuva, Mask of Speed
Worn by Pohatu, it allows the wearer to go at super speed. The Nuva version allowed this and for the wearer to pass through solid object by vibrating at a different frequency.
Legendary Masks
Legendary mesks are masks with amazing, unequalled and sometimes dangerous powers. There are only two known to exist.
Mask of Time
Forged by Vakama while still a Toa, the mask allows the wearer to slow down or speed up time around a target. The mask has been used twice in its history, once by Vakama in the battle with Makuta Teridax and once by Tahu to slow down the Bohrok-Kal. It is currently in the possession of Turaga Vakama.
Ignika, Mask of Life
Forged by the Great Beings on Spherus Magna, it had the power to evolve or devolve beings, transform beings completely, teleport beings across the universe and create a body for itslef or a spirit and more. It was used by two Toa to bring Mata Nui back from death. It then formed a body in Karda Nui to fight the Makuta there. It is now in the possession of Mata Nui on Bara Magna.
