Winter of the Metal People is a historical novel by Dennis Herrick. It was released on June 9, 2013 by Sunbury Press and it gives the Pueblo point of view about the Tiguex War and the Coronado Expedition. The book's subtitle is The Untold Story of America's First Indian War.
Book summary
The Tiguex War was the first named war between Europeans and Native Americans in what is now the United States. It was fought in the winter of 1540-41 by the expedition of Francisco Vázquez de Coronado against the twelve or thirteen pueblos of Tiwa Indians as well as other Puebloan tribes along both sides of the Rio Grande, north and south of present-day Bernalillo, New Mexico, in what was called the Tiguex Province. Although early historians portrayed the Coronado expedition as relatively peaceful, the evidence of brutal warfare proves otherwise.

A pitching engine is an online platform based on crowdsourcing principles. As an online marketplace, brands can upload briefs on the platform and ask the community of creatives to pitch their ideas and solutions. After the deadline is met, the brand chooses the best pitch and rewards its creator.
Pitching engines are a means to open up the creative market to all individuals including amateurs, freelancers, agencies or larger firms and allow any company or organisations to invite anyone around the world to offer them creative solutions.
Currently the major pitching engines are being used by businesses looking for logo designs, website designs, product concepts, print advertisements, TV storyboards and developing marketing solutions.
Examples of pitching engines are crowdSPRING, and Zooppa.
