Cigar guy refers to a man who appeared in a photograph taken by Daily Mail photographer Mark Pain during the 2010 Ryder Cup golf tournament. The photograph captures golfer Tiger Woods attempting a chip shot near the 18th hole green of the Celtic Manor Resort in Newport. Woods' shot went errant and eventually hit Pain's camera, but not before Pain took the photograph. The man standing to Woods' left in the picture became known as "cigar guy" and spawned an internet meme.
Description and significance
The photograph features Tiger Woods and the errant golf ball in the foreground while Steve Williams stands to Woods' right. In the background, hundreds of spectators look on. The picture, first published in the Daily Mail on 3 October 2010, However, the most significant focus of the picture became the golf fan standing to Tiger's left. In the picture, the man is seen wearing a ginger wig, sporting a Groucho Marx style moustache while chomping on a cigar. Some people believed he was paying homage to Spanish golfer Miguel Ángel Jiménez. By 6 October, the picture was being covered internationally. The man became known as "cigar guy" among other names
In the meme, people have photoshopped "cigar guy" to other sports and famous photos. "cigar guy's" facial expression has been described as reflecting positivity, optimism, and wide-eyed wonderment. it was revealed by the Mail on Sunday 10 October that cigar guy is Rupesh Shingadia, a 30-year-old investment analyst from South London who lives with his parents. He was dressed as Miguel Ángel Jiménez, the cigar-smoking golf player, in support for the European team. Some sources noted the resemblance to Jiménez before Shingadia was identified.
Shingadia appeared on the American Today show (in costume) on 15 October 2010, noting that while he is enjoying it, he is also "slightly embarrassed" at the worldwide attention.

Mustaq Aksari is a leader and spokesman for an Islamic fundamentalist group in Jammu Kashmir called Al Badr.
In August 2000, Aksari denounced the decision of those within the Kashmiri resistance group Hizbul Mujahideen who had recently agreed to enter into a ceasefire with Indian forces.
According to The Hindu he was then "the head of the al-Badr faction of the Hizb" and he stated those who agreed to the ceasefire should be "dealt with as other traitors are"
He was quoted again in November 2000, rejecting the idea of a ceasefire, saying "We do not accept or believe India. Jihad is the only solution.".
On December 31, 2000, The Hindu quoted Aksari announcing the success of an attack his group made that he claimed killed a dozen Indian soldiers.
An interview Aksari gave to CNN in early 2001 was widely quoted following Al Qaeda's attacks on September 11, 2001.
Aksari told CNN:
Following an announcement in early 2002 that the Pakistani government was planning to crack down on the militant activities of Al Badr and four other groups the Associated Press quoted Askari saying:
The Times of India published a first hand account of a trainee who claimed to have attended an Al Badr training camp, who said trainees had to listen to sermons from Mustaq Aksari.

The Vulcan Affair was the first episode of the TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. It was edited from the pilot, Solo, which was shot in colour, but was broadcast in black-and-white, to conform with the rest of the first season. It was first broadcast in the USA on NBC on 22 September, 1964. The main protagonist is Napoleon Solo and his antagonist is Andrew Vulcan, an evil scientist working with THRUSH.
Synopsis
The episode opens with several THRUSH agents raiding the UNCLE headquarters, which is hidden in a tailor shop in New York City. They are at first successful, until Napoleon Solo defeats them. Then, he is assigned to protect an African political leader. He knows that Andrew Vulcan plans to kill or wound him, so he gets a housewife who used to know Vulcan to aid him. They board an airplane and head to Africa. Once there, they go to a party hosted by Vulcan for the African leader and his two friends. There, the housewife flirts with Vulcan (to trap him, of course) and he invites her for a tour of his chemical plant. (He plans to give the African leader and his friends a tour the following day.) Seeing a good espionage chance, she agrees. She distracts Vulcan while Solo sneaks in the plant. Vulcan and his men find them out and pursue them through the plant. They get in a car, and find the African leader inside. Really, he's bad and working with Vulcan; he plans to kill his two friends with an explosion at the plant during their tour. They are captured, and almost killed. Napoleon manages to free them and they rescue the two men. The leader and Vulcan are killed in the explosion.
