Habib Sadeghi is an Iranian-born American osteopath, author, and popularizer of alternative and integrative medicine, known as a "healer-to-the-stars". He is the author of two books, The Clarity Cleanse: 12 steps to finding renewed energy, spiritual fulfillment and emotional healing, and Within: A spiritual awakening to love & weight loss.
Sadeghi along with his wife, Dr. Sherry Sami, introduced a term "Uncoupling with Clarity". It was highly popularized in 2014 when Gwyneth Peltrow filed a divorce with Chris Martin. In her official announcement, Gwyneth referred to the concept as "Conscious Uncoupling". Sadeghi explained it as "the ability to understand that every irritation and argument is a signal to look inside ourselves and identify a negative internal object that needed healing. From this perspective, there are no bad guys, just two people as individuals, not just the relationship".

Christopher Bryan Kaelin is a geneticist and pigmentation scientist at Stanford University. He is also the senior scientist in Gregory Barsh's lab, in residence in the Tang Lab. Kaelin has isolated several significant genes: one responsible for spotting in felines; one which produces color in dog; another responsible for skin color. His genetic research is also studied for its impact on weight regulation.
Career and research
As the senior scientist for Greg Barsh, (Greg Barsh is a geneticist and pigmentation scientist at Stanford University and the Hudson Alpha Institute of Biotechnology in Huntsville, Ala.)
Kaelin has studied color and pattern variations in dogs and cats. He was involved in the discovery of a gene that makes a protein called a defensin. Those Defensins may be the key to understanding color in dogs.
Kaelin also studied the production of yellow versus black pigment in dogs, which is controlled by three genes: Mc1r, Agouti, and CBD103. Kaelin proved that the A β-Defensin Mutation Causes Black Coat Color in Domestic Dogs Transgenic mice grew black fur after being inserted with the gene.
Researching the marble and spotted genes in felines
Kaelin's research has been used to identify the spotted gene in domestic Bengal cats. Bengal breeders were interested in finding out which breeding cats carried the gene for marble bengals and which breeding cats are pure for spotting or rosetting. "Domestic cats have four distinct and heritable coat patterns - ticked, mackerel, blotched, and spotted - these are collectively referred to as tabby markings." Kaelin studied the color and pattern variations of feral cats in Northern California, and was able to identify the gene responsible for the marble pattern in Bengal cats. He identified the gene responsible for tabby pattern variation in domestic cats as Transmembrane Aminopeptidase Q (Taqpep), which encodes a membrane-bound Metalloproteinase. Analyzing 31 other felid species, he identified Taqpep as the cause of the rare king cheetah phenotype, in which spots coalesce into blotches and stripes.
Kaelin claims that basic biological researchidentifying genes and their relationship to color and patternmay have a serendipitous benefit. I.e., finding causes and leads to cures for disease.

It was located in Seattle, Washington and is backed by the investors Ignition Partners, Trinity Ventures, Mayfield Fund and Reed Elsevier Ventures. Jobster made money through its targeted job advertising services for employers.
In August 2005 Jobster acquired WorkZoo.com, a job meta-search engine founded by Mark Maunder, which was integrated into Jobster's home page. In May 2006, Jobster acquired GoJobby.com founded by Tony Wright and Brian Fioca. In June 2006, Jobster acquired Recruiting.com run by Jason Davis. In January 2007, Jobster announced their exclusive job search partnership with Facebook. niiu is a customizable news app for the iPad developed by the niiu publishing GmbH. According to their personal interests readers assemble news from various media to arrange them into a streamline platform. Therefore, the content of about 30 different titles, which niiu has license agreements with, is available - including newspapers, magazines, journals, and society news. Such as Hamburger Abendblatt, Berliner Morgenpost, BZ, Welt, Bild, Manager Magazin and Tagesspiegel. One possible niiu combination could consist of the regional part of BZ, the sports section of Bild, politics pages of Welt, the business part of Manager Magazin and celebrity news of Grazia or OK. It is up to the reader to decide which information he chooses out of which media. The searching and filtering are done by the app.
Development
Originally niiu was developed in 2009 as a print version with 24 pages (2 pages of online content, 20 newspaper pages, 2 full advertisement pages) that was individually composed by every customer out of 18 different newspapers and more than 600 different online sources. It had been called "a revolutionizing concept". Critics said that the target group prefer online media to print because it is faster and even more adaptable to individual needs.
In 2011 niiu had been converted for mobile devices due to organizational complexities in 2011. Since 2012 the development of the digital version has been advanced, followed by the release of the current digital iOS version in 2013.
With the first update in August 2013, the number of selectable themes was increased and their offline access enabled. All items can be shared on Facebook, Twitter and via e-mail. In September 2013, the developers focused on niiu‘s update to the iOS 7 operating system.
The number of content partners will be constantly extended. So far, the app is available in 28 countries in German language.
Background
niiu was developed by the niiu publishing GmbH in Berlin. The two founders, Wanja S. Oberhof and Hendrik Tiedemann, have known each other since youth and implemented their idea of the niiu print newspaper at University.
In April 2013, the niiu publishing GmbH brought their former newspaper product as a digital app on the market. Since April 2, 2013 niiu has been available for download in the App Store.
In August 2013, the founders received a second financing round of their former investors.
