YOGACHARYA SHRI DR. RAGHAVENDRA GURUJI is a post graduate, yoga Scholar, Yoga Therapist and a Medical Practitioner.
He is a Moving encyclopedia in the art of Yoga. Since 1978 he is practicing Yoga, blessed by his Holiness Late Paramapujya Sri Sri Raghavendra Swamiji, Malladihalli, Karnataka, India.
For 35 Years, he has dedicated himself yoga and has won several international Awards, Guruji did his doctors in Yoga at seborga - Europe in 2009 secured a Gold Medal. He has directed a telefilm Suryanamaskara Yoga Systems with 800 school children and conducted hundreds of Yoga camps and workshops across the country.
Dr. Guruji has authored many Yoga books and released many C.D. & DVD’s. his Yoga episodes are telecasted in many T.V. channels.
Now he is involved in translating his Ph.,D. thesis into vernacular. This is going to be one of the greatest contributions for mankind.
Biography
Sri Raghavendra Guruji was born in 1964. July 22 at Ellampalli at Neelavara Village in Udupi Taluk, Karnataka, India. Sri Guruji had his early education at his native place. Later, had his education in Davangere. Sri Guruji got his education in yoga at “Patanjali’ Yoga Maha vidyalaya”. Vishwa Yoga Mandira at Malladhalli, Karnataka, India. Sri Guruji was the beloved student of Mahayogi Malladihalli Shri Raghavendra Swamijee (Tiruka).
Sri Guruji had mastered the art of Yoga from his boyhood days and performed Yoga performances in many places, centers and assemblies and attracted the attention of the people(Audience). The encouragement and inspiration of the elders and respected teachers inspired him by his continuous efforts and studies; he took part in Yogasana performances were exhibited in various places in state and country.
He also conducted “ Yoga Camps ” for the benefits of the common people and enlightened them about the importance of “Yoga” in the daily life. He stressed the importance of “Yoga” in the development of both body and mind.
Sri Guruji’s talent and services are recognized by the public institutions and associations and honoured with the title “Yoga Prabhakar” in 1987. His talent was broadcast in the Television which is really a great feat of the great man.
He directed and produced “Surya Namaskara System”, a short television film with 800 children, in the year 1996.
Education of “Yoga” that he was learnt since 1978 has been given to those who had interest and desire to learn the art. He finds delight in teaching the same to others. He had conducted many training camps and has been conducting the same even today. He has thousands of disciples who are indebted to him.
On the opening day of yoga Mandira. Late Sri Gundu Rao, the Honorable Chief minister of Karnataka Presided over the function. On the great occasion minister and Swamiji also blessed the guruji for his performance of Yoga feats.
In 1995 Sri Guruji’s wrote “Yoga Kaipidi” and Bala Yoga Kaipidi, a simple book and his book has been printed 6 times. Sri Guruji’s has written and published many other books on Yoga. In 2008 Sri Guruji’s written a book of “Yoga work shop” and it was released in Chennai, also many health articles written state level daily News Papers and monthly Magazines.
Another great achievement of Guruji is “Dhyana Sahita Bhajane and audio cassette" in which he himself has sung the song (Bhajane) and released for the ennoblement of mind and heart.
He is a man who does not want to keep the art of Yoga for himself but wants to enlighten the mind and body of others in the society. So for he has Conducted more than 859 Free camps of yoga. He has other hobbies in his like playing on Tabala, Yakshagana costumes and Bhajans.
Sri Guruji has a wide knowledge of the art and practice of Yoga. Sri Guruji conducts Free Yoga camps every year in August & December at R. H. Geeta Mandir in Davangere.

Special Awards and Honours
Sri Guruji conducted “Surya Namaskara Yoga Yagna” for school children under the patuonage of “Shri kshetra Dharmashala Shantivana Trust” on 30th, Jan 1997 Yoga camp was conducted. He also directed a telefilm and produced it successfully. Dr. Shri Veerendra Heggade honoured him annuva padagallu Byada and many associations and institutions also honoured him.
Yogacharya Shri Raghavendra Guruji was honoured in January 1987 with the title Yoga Prabhakara by Halujenu cultural association and Yoga Kendra of Davanagere.
Sri Guruji exhibited special Yoga exhibition in honour of Shri Shri Raghavendra Swamiji’s Birthday centenary celebration and was awarded by Swamiji for his service.
Sri Guruji was awarded and honoured by “Brahmana Yuva Vedike Seva Sangha” for his free simple Yoga camp conducted in memory of malladihalli Shri Raghavendra Swamiji at R.H.Geeta mandira, Davanagere on 7 December 1996.
Sri Guruji has already conducted more than 859 free Yoga camps and there are records (as on Dec 2007).
For his Yoga performance at Rotaract Club in Davanagere Sri Guruji was Awarded in 1984.
Sri Guruji wrote a hand book by name is Shibirarthi Galige Margadarshi Yoga Kaipidi which is useful to those who have participated in the Yoga camps. The same hand book is published by him 6th edition also.
Sri Guruji is honoured for his service in Yoga by “Patanjala Yoga Mahavidyalaya” of Anatha Shevashrama Malladihalli by giving Commendation certificate.
Sri Guruji is the blessed disciple of Brahmi Bhuta Parama Pujya Shree Raghavendra Swamiji of Malladihalli. He has been conducting free Yoga camps since 1979 and this is commendable.
Sri Guruji has published a simple yoga hand book by name Balayoga Kaipidi for the benefit of high school children.
Sri Guruji has recorded a cassette of dhyana Sahita bajane (sung mantras with meanings) for students of yoga and dhyana.
Sri Guruji personality and life introduction has been broadcast in national TV chandana vahini under belagu karyakrama on 28-8-2004 & 2006.
Rajyostava award which is awarded by the corporation and Kannada associations of Davanagere district was awarded to Sri Guruji for his service in the field of yoga on 26-11-2004.
Sri Guruji was awarded and honoured by udupi zilla saraswata samaja sudharaka sangha, Brahmvara on 29-1-2006 for his unique service in the fild of yoga.
Guruji’s yoga programme is telecasted as 14 Episode 2006 & 2007 in Doordarshan Chandana Television.
All India Radio Bangalore and Bhadravathi, broadcast a special interview regarding guruji’s biography.

9 April 2006 Sri Guruji was awarded national yoga award of PATANJALI AWARD in calcutta by New age International University Italy, Europe & International Institute of Health Sciences, Calcutta.

Shri P.D.Shah (Punshibhai Dharamsi Shah) was born on 20th January 1911 in Nani Khavadi, a small village near Jamnagar, in Gujarat state of India in a Kutchhi family. His mother Tejbai had a good voice and used to sing folk songs. She died when Shahji was 7 years old. His father was a farmer and he also died when Shahji was 13 years old leaving 2 sons and 3 daughters. The father sent him to Bombay in a boarding school at the age of 12. Thus Shahji was all by himself studying in school and went to Elphinston College for science study. He was very bright student and he won the gold medal in English language. Due to lack of funds, he discontinued his study after Inter Science.

He had great love for music so always sang Jain Stavans (bhajans) doing pujas, he learned bugle, remained ahead of the crowds fighting for freedom. Not knowing to which direction to go in life, he sat out in the train and got off at Ahmedabad station. There he met good people of high class who were impressed by his good command over English. He liked to participate in scouts and sports activities and created the group making the musical band. Since then he was known as the Band Master and played the band in the processions of weddings and the freedom fighters. He was then married to Jayaben (Jetbai), in the year 1936 and had 3 daughters and one son.

During his early years, he learned variety of instruments like violin, sitar, flute, dilruba as well as vocal music and met his Guru Ustad Mohammad Khan Desar Faridi from whom he learned Rudra Veena. (Rudra Veena, also known as Been is the most sacred, ancient and rare Indian instrument that is said to be invented by Lord Shiva and played by the risjis of Himalayas. This instrument is constructed of two very large gourds- each attached near the end of five-foot length of bamboo on which are fixed frets set in wax. There are seven main strings, four main playing strings and three drone strings. )
Shahji went into teaching music vocal and instrumental at his home and was raising the children in a small income. In mid-forties he got into a small scale business which helped to earn sufficient money to run the family. By this time he also visited Saanand to play Rudra Veena at His Highness Jaswant Sinhji (Thakore Saheb’s) court regularly. Thakore Saheb was also playing Rudra Veena and thus there was nights spent in music. He also went often to Jamnagar where Her Highness Gulaab Kunvar Baa invited him to play Rudra Veena at her Royal court.

Shahji left Ahmedabad in early 1956 to settle down in Bombay where he was doing business mainly and stopped teaching music. Forming an institution called Veena Mandir, he organized few music concerts where Ustad Abdul Haleem Jaffer Khan (sitar), Ms. Zarin Daruwala (sarod), Rita Devi (dance) Pandit Nikhil Ghosh (tabla), his daughters (Vijaya and Damini) and few other artists performed Indian classical music.

Shahji developed fibrosis and cancer of his vocal cords in 1962 losing his voice. He went to London for the treatment in 1965 after which he was cured of cancer but did not get his voice back due to fibrosis. In spite of his ill health, he always continued to play Rudra Veena and paid much attention to the children that they learn music and graduate in vocal classical music. He also taught sitar whenever he had time and cared for the education of all of them. He sent his son Gautam to USA for higher study in Chemical engineering. His daughters got good education besides music accomplishments. Panna along with M.Sc. (Biochemistry) got Visharad degree in Tabla and performed solo at various places.

Shahji developed interest in Astrology around 1960 and spent some time in achieving extraordinary knowledge and was respected for the accuracy of his predictions to many people. He had deep interest in Hindu Philosophy spending some time in study of Vedanta and the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda.
He came to USA in 1970 and taught as a professor of astrology, music and Eastern Philosophy at Callison College, University of Pacific-Stockton and California Institute of Asian Studies (CIAS). He was also a lecturer in Jainism at CIAS. He never performed commercially on Rudra Veena but continued to use according to the ancient tradition of playing at various institutions and music departments of various colleges. The American people showed overwhelming interest in Rudra Veena and other philosophical discussions of shahji’s.

In spite of his poor health condition and without voice, he always remained active and absorbed in music until he passed away in Bombay on July 11, 1975 when his lungs were affected with cancer. Although he never publicised his achievements, those who came in contact with him remember him with great love and respect.

Knutson moved to Utah a decade prior to the Olympics, and started a firm called TKO to speculate on land. TKO also became heavily involved with The Trail Keepers Foundation, a non-profit organization who strives to find more land and help keep it open for the future.
Shortly after Knutson’s return to Minnesota his designs became syndicated on The Cottage Home network and he became known throughout the USA as a residential designer. Jim Tolpin’s book The New Cottage Home went on to become a nationwide best seller.
Over the years Knutson has expanded his interests to include Diamond Condo Hotel LLC as well as investment services with Thomas Knutson Investments LLC.
Knutson is known for his work in banking computer systems and security. Knutson started to specialize in private investments and placement, with a specialty in the area of Condo, Hotel, Golf and Resort communities as well as Commercial investments, and has made connections to funding.
Knutson attended school in Edina which has been ranked in the Newsweek poll of 100 best schools in America several times. Knutson has attended several universities.
Knutson charitable giving includes Camp Knutson for disabled kids; the U. S. National Reforestation services at Knutson-Vanderberg Trust; and Knutson University halls at Crookston University Minnesota and Texas.
Knutson humiliated himself as being technologically ignorant by making repetitive claims of perpetual motion or over unity arrangement for powering a boat. He engaged in colorful discussion on a reputable boat design web forum claiming that he could use an electric motor to drive a generator and create excess energy.
