Der letzte Patriot is the debut novel from freelance writer and author Andreas J. Voigt. Strongly autobiographical, the political thriller was published in German in 2005 by publishing house Neuteutonia and has been very successful since, but also quite disputet in the leftist majority society of Germany. The English version should appear 2009.
The title, which is translated as "The last Patriot", refers to the politically complicated and frustrating struggle of a German Patriot in the post-war Zeitgeist of the modern Federal Republic of Germany.
Plot summary
Set in Berlin, Germany, "Der letzte Patriot" is the fictional story of political-activist and German patriot Sven Hardenberg, who leads a neo-national group which rebels against the anti-German sentiment or Germanophobia within and without the German People in modern-day Europe. His adversaries are strong: Bundesnachrichtendienst, Mossad and others seek to kill the novels hero and villan, even in jail he ist not safe, the Germanic Brotherhood and the Muslim Brotherhood are united in a life-and-death battle.

The major part of "Der letzte Patriot" is made up of Sven Hardenbergs thoughts, reminiscences and fight for survival while confined in various German Penitentiaries. The authentic writing ist partially racialist, very violent and graphic.
Generally, "Der letzte Patriot" touches upon a number of taboo topics not only in the political nationalist arena but also those that can be found in a democratic society at large.
The academic Author, who in real life is chairman of the dubious secret society Deutschherrenklub, created his story realistically according to experiences during his own neo-national activities and political incarceration. According to Voigt, he currently ist working on part II of this novel, which should be published 2009 or 2010.

Written In Ashes is a darkwave/gothic band from Portland, Oregon founded in 1996 by Kevyn Douglas Hay.
Their first recording Eternal was released in 1997 and hailed as "the new sound of Gothic". This was followed by the releases of Eclipse in 1999 and Epiphany in 2000. There have been tertiary appearances on compilations such as Cleopatra Records' Unquiet Grave, Volume 1 in 1999 and Ankhor Records' Alice Cooper Tribute Mutations in 2002. The band reemerged in 2004 on nationally distributed Latex Records with the strongest material to date with its self-titled release Written In Ashes.
The band's current line-up contains founding member Kevyn Douglas Hay along with stage and studio veterans, Damon Law of theStark and sexwithsarah, Christopher Hyde of Grindstone, Lawrence Anders and T.J. Hamilton of The Dead Stars on Hollywood, and The Gentry.

A term commmonly known to road motorcycle riders in the Sydney area of New South Wales, Australia.
This term refers to an unusual tyre wear pattern, which occurs normally on the rear tyre of a road motorcycle, but in some extreme cases has also been noted on the front tyre.
This wear pattern is the result of a unique riding style which, requires the bare minimum of lean angle is used in normal day-to-day motorcycle riding. The end result is a tyre which has a Flat spot across the top of the tyre.
In some cases, a Kevined tyre will allow the motorcyclist to no longer require the use of the side-stand for parking.
Not generally recommended for safety purposes, once a tyre has been Kevined, it should be replaced as soon as practicle.
An example of common usage; "Pete sure has kevined his rear tyre".
