Ever After High is a doll franchise released by Mattel in the autumn of 2013. It is a companion line to the popular Monster High dolls, however in this line the characters are based upon characters from fairy tales and fantasy stories.
The franchise was created based upon the success of its parent line Monster High.
Storyline
The Ever After High storyline is based upon the children of famous fairy tale characters attending the eponymous high school, who are destined to follow in their parents’ footsteps to keep their stories alive through generations, otherwise their stories will cease to exist. However, one character is unhappy with her destiny and wishes to write her own path. A key theme is ‘Royal or Rebel’ which is between those who know they will have a happily ever after and those with less favorable destinies or those who prefer the idea of writing their own destiny.
Dolls
They are very similar to Monster High - the main differences are the rounder faces, thicker and more human-like bodies, and the differences in how different molds are utilized - example, Madeline Hatter is shorter to resemble her size in the series, and not her age. Unlike Monster High, the characters each share similar face molds.
Characters
The cast is composed of two types: the "royals", characters with more favorable destinies promised to them, which mainly includes princesses and other 'liked' protagonists, and the "rebels", characters with either less favorable destinies, have a problem which prevents them from following their parents, or are fond of the idea of writing their own destinies. There are also other characters who lie with both sides, or those whose allegiance is not clear.
Apple White
Apple White is the princess daughter of Snow White, and is one of the lead characters of the franchise (along with Raven Queen). She is a royal. Everyone is fond of her and are often hypnotized by her beauty and kindness. She wishes to live out her legacy and become queen. She is a de facto leader and very responsible and friendly; however, she can often be self-centered and is often naïve as to what is going on outside of her own "perfect" world. She respects Raven as a key character in her destiny, but does not understand the feelings of others people, such as Raven, who rebel against their legacies, and is very reluctant to accept that her destiny will have to go differently. Her signature color is red, like apples. She is voiced by Jonquil Goode.
Raven Queen
Raven Queen is the daughter of the Evil Queen, and is one of the lead character of the franchise, along with Apple White. She is a rebel. She is frustrated with having to be evil (as her mother was), and wishes to go her own way. Most people see her as evil and mean because her mother was, but she is actually misunderstood, like the other rebels, and wishes to be herself and rewrite her own chapter and strives to try and make it work. This inspires her to learn good magic for people with relations with evil queens. Her signature color is purple, like royalty. She is voiced by Erin Fitzgerald, who also voices C.A. Cupid in this series.
Briar Beauty
Briar is the daughter of Sleeping Beauty and best friends with Apple. She wishes to live out her life to its very fullest and do as much as she can, as she is destined to be sleeping for a hundred years. In fact, she sleeps a lot, even during class, which often gets her in trouble. However, she loves to party and shop and is very fun-loving, social and cheerful. Her signature color is pink, like her rose. She is voiced by Kate Higgins.
Madeline Hatter
Madeline is daughter of the Mad Hatter and best friends with Raven. She is a rebel. She is funny and very eccentric, and she has a fondness for tea parties. She also likes to break the fourth wall, and is the only person to interact with the narrators, as only she can hear them because of her "madness". She is reasonably happy with her destiny, seeing as it has to do with tea, but is fond of the idea of rewriting. She owns a pet dormouse named Earl Grey. She is voiced by Cindy Robinson.
Ashlynn Ella
Ashlynn is the royal daughter of Cinderella and a friend to Briar and Apple. She has a fondness for shoes, as she has a collection of them and even gets ecstatic when it comes to new ones. This is also her most guilty pleasure. She owns and runs the Glass Slipper shoe store. She seems to have a personality similar to the former two, and is secretly dating Hunter Huntsman. She is voiced by Laura Bailey.
Blondie Lockes
Blondie is the daughter of Goldilocks and a friend to Apple and Briar. She owns a magic mirror (equivalent of a tablet) and, along with it, runs her own "Mirror Cast Show". She is also a bubbly and social gossip girl, but is also quite picky and often butts into Apple and Charming's unrequited relationship (or friendship). She is voiced by Julie Maddalena.
Daring Charming
Daring is the son of Prince Charming and brother of Dexter Charming. He takes pride in his own handsome appearance, including his shining teeth; however, unlike Dexter, also seems to be quite egotistical. He is voiced by Evan Smith.
Hunter Huntsman
Hunter is the son of a huntsman and is a rebel (presumed to be the one from Snow White). He is slightly boastful and easily annoyed. He is secretly dating Ashlynn Ella, although he is not a prince nor a part of her story; this makes it appear the two to be either royals or rebels. His signature color is green, like the forest trees. He is voiced by Grant George.
Cerise Hood
Cerise is daughter of Little Red Riding Hood. She seems to have wolf or werewolf like properties, including a bark, which she hides from the students of Ever After High. She is said to have a dark secret (note the wolf-like characteristics). Daring seems to be familiar with her. Her signature color is deep red, like her hood.
Cedar Wood
Cedar is the daughter of Pinocchio. She is clumsy and ditsy as well as talkative, though she is not interested of lying, unlike her dad. Cedar appears to be made of wood: She has a stuffy nose that doesn't grow on account of being shy to lie; she wears acorns for earrings, a ring, and a bracelet on her left-hand-side wrist, all having wooden themes. Also, by the sound of her full name, she may or may not been given that name by the creators to resemble Cerise's full name.
She is voiced by Jonquil Goode.
Dexter Charming
Dexter is the brother of Daring Charming. He has a different personality than Daring: he seems to be somewhat shy, nervous and more down-to-earth. He has a crush on Raven. He is voiced by Evan Smith.
Lizzie Hearts

Machine Big Data is ...
Machine big data (MBD) describes the information that is processed and output as a function of a digital machine or device operation. IT users and administrators define the parameters and scheduled processing for these systems, and the resulting output becomes a record of events and state changes. These records may be cached temporarily or stored (archived) for a specified length of time; often as a matter of policy or compliance to applicable regulations. It should be noted that machine big data is not necessarily intelligible to humans and may have dependencies on applications or processes to understand it in context. Currently there are few uniform standards defining the files or formats of machine big data across applications, machines and devices.
Applications for Machine Big Data
Digital applications, devices, and machines can be configured to log processes and events that occur in the course of their operation. These logs may contain many data points in any number of different formats which serve as an immutable record of operation. Therefore, this data may be used in forensics, troubleshooting, or in a legal context. While the logs themselves may be accessible or viewable in various applications, machine big data can be exported in immutable formats, such as Portable Data Format (PDF) in order to show a seamless chain of custody for use in the U.S. court systems .
Machine Big Data Trends
In 2009, Gartner predicted that data volumes would grow by 650% over the next five years. Most of the increase was expected to be from machine big data.

The foreign language internet refers to the body of web pages in all languages other than English.
Overview
Traditionally, English has been the ‘lingua franca’ of the internet. However, with the spread of global internet access, the number of foreign language internet users is rapidly rising, with English speakers accounting for 27% of internet users in 2011.
In the face of this rising global Internet usage, projects such as the W3C Multilingual Web have recognised the need for standardisation of the web. Strategies to be used would involve creating standards and best practices on the foreign language internet, recognising shared issues, and finding ways to solve these.
Business interest
The foreign language interest is of great interest to online businesses and digital marketers as competition for business and search engine rankings on the foreign language internet is lower than that on the English-speaking internet owing to there being less foreign language content.
This means it’s easier to reach the top of the search engines in a language other than English.
Research
Much research has been conducted in the realm of the foreign language internet. A recent EU-wide survey by Eurobarometer investigated foreign language use on the internet which found that 9 out of 10 EU internet users preferred to access websites in their own language.
Likewise, the Common Sense Advisory’s ‘Can’t Read, Won’t Buy’ report found internet users were four times more likely to make a purchase if they’re given information in their own language.

Vladimir Nikolaevich Drozdoff (May 25, 1882-March 10, 1960) was a Russian pianist, composer, and teacher. Born in Saratov, Russia, May 25, 1882 to Olga A. Balmasheva and Nikolai V. Drozdoff, and was the eldest brother of Anatoly N. Drozdoff, a noted teacher of music theory himself, and Valerian N. Drozdoff, a violinist. All three boys were students of their mother, who taught at the Saratov Music School (which in September 1912 became the Saratov Conservatory).
Vladimir Drozdoff was the uncontested winner of the Gold Medal and the coveted Rubinstein Prize as a student of Anna Essipova at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. After several European tours, during which the critics compared him with the two acknowledged masters, Reisenaur and Busoni, he returned to the St Petersburg Conservatory as a professor of piano under the directorship of Alexander Glazounov. In that capacity, he was a colleague of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakoff, Anatoly Lyadoff (a/k/a Liadov), Nikolai Tcherepnin, Leopold Auer, and Anna Essipova.
Vladimir Drozdoff met and married a fellow student from the Conservatory, Anna Schweiger. They had two children, Paul and Nathalie. Drozdoff and his wife fled Russia in 1920, living for the next three years in Istanbul (Constantinople) before relocating to the United States in 1923 under the sponsorship of the Red Cross.
Drozdoff made his American debut in 1926 with the Detroit Symphony under Ossip Gabrilovitch. A year later, he and Anna opened a piano studio in New York City, where he resided until his retirement in 1957. He appeared frequently on the New York concert stage, and at least once a year, he appeared in concert with his children Paul and Nathalie, who had by now achieved distinguished careers as musicians themselves.
Drozdoff was also a composer for voice and piano. His American publishers were John Markert & Co., Carl Fischer, Inc., and Omega Music Edition.
